Got to agree with you. But what sticks with me the most was the fact that,after an off day the next day,the Sox opened a 3 gamer with the D-Rays on 7/4.They lost the first 2 games 4-3 and 3-2. My sCrUBS loving brother in law called the first one.I'm sitting in front of the TV watching Belly Crotch about to blow the save. He literally walks into the room and says,"here it is.game winning 3 run homer" ( the Sox were up 3-1,2 on,1 out).So after Carl Crawford hits a ball 2 rows into the right field seats,I have to put up with "i told you so" the whole weekend. But a big Thanks goes to Steve Bartman.I'd like to erect a statue in his honor at Wrigley for proving that if there's a way to f*** up a 3-2 series lead,the sCrUBS will find it. Thank you,Steve,for ending the 2 1/2 to 3 week period of 2003 I like to call "Hell on earth".Everywhere I went,it was sCrUBS,sCrUBS,sCrUBS. My mom,who should know better,even told me I should,in her words, "root for Chicago".The hell I will!! I asked my brother in law if he'd root for the Sox if they made it to the ALCS.I got the answer I expected: NO f***ING WAY! sCrUBS fans.They want the world to love them,but f*** the Sox. Yeah,right!!

I remember what it was like when the Blackhawks really cared.I should say when ownership really cared.My dad was a huge Hawks fan in 1969,the year Keith Magnuson and Tony Esposito (Tony O) were rookies.Stan Mikita,Bobby Hull and his brother Dennis were veterans on that team.The Hawks went from last to first that year (1969-70).I remember road games on WGN.Yes,channel 9 before it was a super station.That Hawks team won games 3-2.2-1.1-0.They didn't have much offense,but the games were always exciting.Magnuson won the city over by never being afraid to gat into a fight with an opposing defenseman.Never mind the fact he normally got his brains beat in.Magnuson was pure Chicago at that time.A tough,hard nosed competitor who threw himself in the way of a blistering shot so "Tony O" wouldn't have to make that tough of a save. This team sickens me.To think they are one of the "original 6" NHL teams is sad. Now,the Hawks have to sell airtime to WSCR.That's right.They pay the Score to air their games.It should be the other way around. The Wirtz family keeps digging this franchise deeper and deeper into the ground. Could they someday be contracted?? We'll see.

Glad he got re signed,but he better not a pull a Konerko in 2004.Hope he realises he'll have to work harder to get the same results he had in 2003.I believe he can be a 30/30 guy if he really works at it.But the base running must improve!!

I'd love to keep Ordonez,but he'll never make more than he will this year.And as usual,KW will trade away the farm and this will be WORSE than the Todd Ritchie deal,God forbid.You make this deal ONLY if you can get the pitching and Nomah says he'll sign an extension (which i'm sure he won't.He's a SoCal kind of guy). God,this team depresses me.2004 will be year # 45 without a WS appearance.Thank God for the Tigers or we'd really be screwed.The Royals and Twins are still better than the Sox.Why,Why,why?!?!?!

A brilliant show cancelled before its time.Fox dropped the ball on this one. As the rock group Journey once asked in song,"Who's Crying Now"?? Fox gave this show no time to find an audience,despite having a loyal following that realised the brilliance of this show. Now,Fox wants to make up for the error by scheduling new "FG" episodes for 2005.Why the long wait??What is this, "The Sopranos"??

Let's get one thing straight;the con artist is NOT Lenny Billiams.It's my name sake,the man who gives good business people bad names; REINSDORF!!! Roberto Alomar is not the Roberto Alomar of 1992-93,just as "the big hurt" is not the same player he was in 1992-93.Both of them were deadly hitters at that time.If you were the opposition and the game was on the line,you wanted nothing to do with either of them.Alomar beat the Sox at SkyDome so many times,I lost track. Having said that,I,like many other posters,feel Alomar's so called R-E-S-P-E-C-T translates into M-O-N-E-Y. And he won't get that here.Not as long as the Cheap Chairman continues to think a $60,000,000.00 payroll is reality. I feel Alomar is over rated at this point anyway.Not that i'm enamored with Willie Harris,but there are other options out there. At least I know why my $20.00 weekend season tickets now cost $25.00 (30 for the sCrUBS series): It's All About The Benjies!!!
