2nd week in a row I won when my opponent had lowest pts in the league this week and I had 2nd lowest. And I don't even go to church.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 07:00 PM) I'm curious to see if New Trier can go deeper than usual. They've been playing well. Only loss was to Maine South in Park Ridge. I'll be the homer and say if NT played Warren now, Warren wins by 10. Too bad they can't replay it. Ha.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 06:29 PM) It will help Stevenson that they won't have to run the gauntlet in 8A though. 7A will be much tougher because many of the best teams end up in 7A lately. I'll go out on a limb and say the top 8A teams would take care of the Top 8A teams. Stevenson, Loyola, Bolingbrook, HF, Maine South, and of course WARREN.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 06:22 PM) Okay. We played Stevenson in 2002. Maine South in 2003. Stevenson Football is the Atlanta Braves of HS football, minus the one ring.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 06:19 PM) Brian are you going to quit covering HS sports when Stevenson wins state in football and basketball this year? I certainly won't be able to anymore over my dead body.

Eye test tells me Willie Young was rather valuable as well. Mills was so good last year and now he's getting beat. Ugh

Even if Conte is cleared, there is no way he belongs on the field over Mundy. Vereen seems a tad slow but would rather have him out there getting experience.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 09:38 AM) The Bulls are the only team in the East that even has a chance against Mia...Cleveland. If he has trouble scoring why the heck would we want him starting? Do you see the words after I said "Even if he isn't scoring". And I'd rather him start and struggle scoring than Dunleavy and him struggling scoring. DMD will bring more energy off the tip than MD.

They'd be dumb not to want him to work on Mondays, some Tues, and PPVs only. They'll sign him to a lifetime type deal, like other legends. I'd pop like a mofo if his music hit and he came out.

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Oct 11, 2014 -> 08:25 PM) Things I like so far: Taj working the post a lot more and holding off that less than stellar mid range jumpshot. Mirotic has really active hands on defense, leading to a few steals. As I type this, Noah hasn't shown much so far, Larry Sanders just jumped over him for 3 offensive boards. I orginally wanted Taj starting over Gasol. I was dumb. Pau will take away stats from Noah but I like what he brings for us on D at the same time as Joakim. He's been blocking everything so far.

I hope Thibs isn't afraid to start DMD fast if we get off to slow starts. Even if he has trouble scoring, I think his energy would be good at the start of a game. Dunleavy has always been a bench guy to me anyway.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 11:29 AM) There needs to be a thing called Bynes Vines. I actually feel bad for mocking her situation and enjoying following it for entertainment purposes. She's more disturbed and ill than I thought. She's been hanging out with the loon who was accused of pushing Britney Spears over the edge a few years ago. Yikes.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 11, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) There is something to be said about how WWE has been unable to elevate their current stars to any superstar level, forcing them to repeatedly bring in attitude era stars for pop. the rumored Rock/HHH wrestle mania match is just a terrible idea, as much as I like both wrestlers I don't think they'd go in that direction, but thinking back, Rock put HHH over a lot back in the day. Like a lot. Wouldn't be shocked they'd domit for a Rock win. Mayb Rock putting over Rollins would be nice.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 07:43 AM) His 11k used Nissan? Your memory is bad. And the OSU case is a hilarious look into an overly harsh punishment. Penn State received the same ncaa restrictions for decades of enabling child rape. CWebb was good but Woodson did it better since he didn't even hurt the school. Take notes on how it's to be done, than. The car in this article says it's a tad more that $11,000. The writers memory must be bad. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6611808
