  1. I have a sickening feeling in the put of my stomach that Calipari is winning it this year.
  2. Agree with Steve on Lin. Back to back great games. Not like he is Chris Duhon Sho scores 20 in a game than 20 total thru the next 5. Lin also had 8 or 9 assists without Amare and Melo.

I'll DVR "The River" but I hate 2 hour premieres. Too long. It's not a movie.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) Well Jericho is still fantastic. I'm so excited for this feud... Was phenominal of Punk to just come out and not say anything. I fell asleep before it ended. Their mic work leading up to Mania should be terriffic. Really wish they would ditch that belt.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 07:33 PM) The Bulls are raping and D-Rose has hardly played due to two BS foul calls. Good, rest the back.
  6. Wish Boozer attacked rim as strong as Taj does sometimes.
  7. Hypothetically, would the Bulls have beaten Miami in ECF last year if Brewer had been starting over Bogans?
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) And maybe with the whole terrorist attack at a football stadium, the NFL preferred not to air that during the Super Bowl. Good point

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 10:15 AM) The Grey was decent. Had high expectations and was a little let-down. Thankfully I was using movie passes. Enjoyable movie but one that you can most definitely wait for redbox. I wanna catch it in the theatre just to experience the scenery on the big screen.
  10. Weber has been out a few times to watch Jalen Brunson, Frosh PG at Douchebag High...I mean Stevenson. He is a very smooth PG already. Great touch and handles. Gonna dominate by the time he is a senior. He will be tons better than what Tracy Abrams has been predicted to be.
  11. QUOTE (Boogua @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 07:19 AM) The illini are tied for 11th for overall ncaa tournament appearances. They also have the 13th most wins in NCAA history. Pretty good for a "middle of the road" program. Illinois is a basketball school in a power conference and has a decent amount of success recently. They won I think 4 straight big ten titles from 01-05. Now we are perennially a bubble team. I don't see whats so hard to understand here. Don't be so sensitive. NCAA appearances are fine but how many Final Fours in that string? 1? How many trips to Sweet 16? Littlehurt laid it out where it makes sense.
  12. Was hoping for Super Bowl spot. Guess the studio wisely understood that the movie is going to make fat a## bank no matter what.
  13. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 11:00 PM) That's why you switch to the MLB Network from now until football season. And NBA tv. It is cool to think that I am a couple of weeks away from taking my after work/afternoon nap while the peaceful tones of a meaningless Spring Training game are on MLB Network.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 10:13 PM) Interesting. I used to never wear watches, but my sophomore year of college or so, I started wearing one every day. Now I feel weird without one. I've also had the same gold cross around my neck since 7th or 8th grade. I was the same way when mine broke but I was too lazy to go buy one, I was wearing a cheap digital one, and just found myselt looking at my phone instead.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 6, 2012 -> 12:37 AM) I fully expect Weber to be successful at his next stop. It is pretty clear that the pressure of the Illinois job got to him and he just isn't the same coach he was when he first got the job. He inherited a lot of talent but those teams were also exceptionally well coached and executed on offense at an incredible level. His success at Illinois wasn't just the talent he got from Self, it was also good coaching and his teams at Southern Illinois were also very well coached. I think that the recruiting failures he had early at Illinois coupled with the failures on the floor made him very uptight in his coaching and the play on the floor has reflected that. He also hasn't seemed to truly connect with a lot of his players recently which is a major issue at the high major level where you have guys with bigger egos and guys that need to be pampered a little more than at the mid major level. I'm not asking this to be an ass, but what kind of pressure is their at Illinois that there isn't at another school? It's not like Illinois is some national powerhouse. They are a middle of the road/stepping stone type program that occassionally succeeds and makes the tournament but doesn't do it consistently. I understand that Illini fans want and expect more, but I don't really think there is pressure of the Illinois job.
  16. That would have been an incredibly weak PI call. Don't want that in Super Bowl.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 01:24 AM) I agree. It kept my attention and was entertaining but as I was watching it I just kept thinking how unlikely the whole thing was. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 08:56 AM) I'm glad someone agrees. It was said that he was a former fighter so he had experience in the past in bigger fights outside of the parking lot stuff. Not to mention, it is a movie. Next thing you know you will tell me animals don't really sing and dance.
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 02:41 AM) I bought a new watch today. This is one of the most exciting things to me, right after buying a new suit, and right above buying a dress shirt or tie. My last watch broke like 5 years ago and I never replaced it. Never needed it anymore and I don't like wearing anything on my hands. If I ever get married, my ring will probably be on a chain around my neck.
  19. QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 28, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) Mr. Pitt died. Moland Spring? Next Stop, Pottersville Heaven.
  20. Also, 3 years ago, I thought Fairfield would be a top mid major program by now with some of the recruits they were bringing in. Saw they are 12-10. My bad.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 08:27 AM) Except St. Joes had NBA players on that team but it's definitely a fair comparison. To make it even simpler, they're a poor mans version of this years Missouri team. Who else but Nelson play(ed) in the NBA? Honestly he is the only one I remember since he was player of the year?
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 5, 2012 -> 08:42 AM) Kevin. Love. Steps. On. Faces. How do refs miss the initial foul which probably would have prevented the kick? Still bush league by Love. Did the Rockets get even later?
