QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 23, 2012 -> 12:13 AM) I'm a week behind in Shameless and just watched this season's second episode. Premiere was great, this one was fine, but not anything special. Except for the scene where Frank and Carl are walking down the sidewalk, and Frank told Carl he should be grateful that Frank didn't just splooge on his mother's neck, instead of guiding his sperm into her body. Priceless. I may have misinterpreted it, but I don't think that scene was for comedy. Carl is getting thrown aside a lot so far. i.e. pushed out of his room. I'm about to watch last nights now.
  2. Good deal for Fielder being able to opt out after 3 years. I'm guessing he probably will unless Stras stays healthy, Harper can produce, and the team stays in contention. Kudos for the Nationals for trying. Orioles fans can't be happy.
  3. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 02:03 PM) And college basketball has plenty of games that end 60-55 because of some combination of a slower pace, tightly packed zone defenses, sloppy play and mediocre shooting when teams can't get inside. Both styles have their pluses and minuses. Precisely. I like high school, college, and pro ball for various different reasons.
  4. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) no, he had it right the first time. Anybody who thinks the NBA sucks clearly doesn't watch and/or follow it. There are so many young dynamic and gifted players. Every team has a superstar or a player that you can watch. Just because Carmelo has a few games where he goes into laucnh mode, doesn't diminish the game. The Knicks are awful to watch but you have other teams that move the ball around and play together and it is great.

QUOTE (G&T @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 08:12 AM) While I have no personal experience with Mayo, I have been through the decision process as to whether to go to Mayo or stay with family doctors. The reality is that Chicago has great doctors and they are every bit as good as anyone at Mayo. The decision should be made based on the recovery time and support. If family is in AZ, I'd go to AZ. Good point and that is the way I am leaning.
  6. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 22, 2012 -> 08:06 AM) Lmfao SIU lost by 43 to Wichita St. Pack it up and go home Lowery, you are an embarrassment to your Alma Mater. x100000000

It will be in a few months when I have this surgery done. Just not sure if I should go out to AZ to their Mayo or stay here at Rush with a surgeon I know and knows my condition well. Mayo does this type of procedure all the time. I meet with my surgeon next week and will see how many he had done. I'm leaning towards AZ because it is a 2 month recovery and my parents are out there. Was just curious what they are like.
  8. What's the voter turn out been for these caucuses/primaries? Because the vote totals seem low, but I don't remember what they usually have been like in the past.
  9. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 21, 2012 -> 10:01 PM) Gallinari had 37 points also. Anthony was 10 for 30 in the end. He's just killing any offensive efficiency that team has. Amare didn't even attempt a shot in the 4Q or both OT's apparently. Carmelo was trying to shoot over triple teams instead of finding open guy. It was terrible.

Anybody have any experiences with them? I know they are supposedly the best medical facility in the country. May have to go.

I just traded my Sports Trac in for a Focus at the end of December and I love it. With gas prices and the Sports Trac, I would pay $75-80 to fill up. With the Focus, maybe I pay $40 and it gets just as good mileage. I got that truck out of college when I got my first job and was a dumb choice. Wanted to look cool and free. Had 110,000 miles when I traded it in and got $4500 from Ford. Was surprised. Miss the truck in weather like this though. Ha

It snowed for awhile up here but I don't think we got as much as everyone thought. I cleaned the driveway off at 3 yesterday afternoon before I had to leave than just now and there were maybe 2 inches. I would guess we got about 5 but it was light.
  13. Everyone needs some perspective. Be glad you didn't go to Carbondale.
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Part of the problem is Griffin really wants to be a high flying SF. Was just saying, "Why does he settle for jumpers so much?"

  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 20, 2012 -> 10:11 AM) I need to find my own version of Gina Carano out here somewhere... sigh. As hot, sexy, and vuluptous she is, I can't get it out of my head that she could kill me with one hit. Was never into the Sarah Connor type. /Still would hit it

  21. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) MJ had an amazing career and IMO he is the 2nd best Chicago athlete. Walter career speaks for himself as well http://top100.nfl.com/all-time-100 6 vs. 1 I understand that it is easier for one player to dominate a game in the NBA than NFL but Jordan just wouldn't die and would not lose. That Magic series in 95 was something that motivated him for the next 3 seasons. It is not even close.

Don't think I laughed once at Modern Family last night. Vergara's cleavage was good. I still watch but like Cali said, this show has gone downhill, and I get frustrated seeing it win awards over Parks & Recreation.
  24. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 11:01 PM) What a fun night capped off by heads hitting a half court buzzer beater for a w. Both college and NBA had some good finishes last night.
  25. The Knicks could probably trade Fields, Shumpert (Not sure if there is a rule in CBA about trading rookies), and a pick for Nash. Or some variation of the 3.
