QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 07:48 PM) I only saw it for the first time last week, and I find it pretty funny. Sheldon maybe the best written character on any sitcom.
  2. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 15, 2012 -> 03:56 PM) Are the CougarLife banner ads really bringing in a lot of business from the Soxtalk population?? Definitely serving its purpose for me. Booyah!

Big Bang Theory maybe in the category with Seinfeld and Scrubs that when I see it on in syndication, I always finish an episode. And also, it is still quietly one of my favorite shows on the air and is always quality to me.
  4. I've enjoyed Bryan and his character on Smackdown. Nice promo to start show last week and getting good heel reaction. Hope he holds belt until Mania and probably drops it there.
  5. Thibs >>>> Doug Collins

I don't get excited for Wes Anderson movies. I'll see them on cable if I have time. They all have the same tone and just come off as redundant to me now.
  7. May as well beat Creighton tonight. What the heck.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 08:34 PM) I'm pretty sure you're watching the big ten network replay. Yeah. I knew they played this weekend. BTN was on when I turned tv on and got dooped
  9. NO D Coord job opening, I bet
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 04:41 PM) Is that the 100 beer shots? Yup. 1 every minute. A bunch of guys on my floor my junior year at SIU did it, I chickened out. I think out of 15, 2 made it and they probably don't remember it.
  11. Not against anyone on here, but I really hope SF loses. I have friends who were bandwagon fans in the 90s and they are really annoying this year. They've been saying they should be in the same sentence as NO and GB, not realizing they were in the worst division in the NFL. I have no sympathy for SF. They ruled the 90's so I don't have that warm feeling for them to succeed this year just because they have been down lately.
  12. Michigan has no length down low. Outside of Burke and Hardaway, very unauthentic. Beilein won't play one of the best in Illinois in 09 over two kids who do nothing but throw up bricks. Add that the Salukis aren't as terrible as I thought and are saving CLo's job. Ugh
  13. Nice first half effort, Michigan. Have I mentioned how much I hate Stu Douglass and Zack Novak? Wish Morris stayed so at least one of those would be seeing less time.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 14, 2012 -> 09:51 AM) Set on the DVR Is it a 2 hour premiere? I want to watch but hate two hour premieres. Its a TV show, not a movie.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 12:40 PM) Better than The League? I like Parks N. Rec, I just don't keep up w/ it. I enjoy The League for what it is, but to compare that with the brilliance of Parks & Rec can get you stoned in some countries. Well, maybe not, but you get it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:36 AM) anyone check out the new Cheadle/Showtime show House of Lies? I'd give it a B-. It's basically if Entourage and Made in America had a television baby. Not really sure where they can take it since the whole pitch-meeting thing would get old pretty quick. Hated it. Couldn't finish the first episode. Didn't go anywhere and was just boring and not very witty as it tried to sell itself as.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) Best comedy on television and it isn't close. +1000 Mixes all types of comedy so well.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 10:34 AM) I dont know if any of you have seen commercials for the new "found footage" movie Chronicle, but I think this might be a sleeper. 3 teenagers acquire superpowers and start to videotape themselves learning how to deal with the power, and one of them goes pretty bad. Seen commercials and definitely think it could be guilty pleasure type stuff.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 11:36 AM) I disagree. It's a smart strategy and what smart teams should do to beat the Magic. If Dwight ever learned how to make a free throw it wouldn't happen. That's fine but it is clearly intentional/flagrant and should be called as such even if there is no physical harm.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) Aldridge isn't a superstar. I tend to think he's a top 20 player. He might be top 5 among big men, but even then, you have Howard, Love, Gasol, Bosh, Randolph, Lopez, and Bynum as competition. Just thinking about it, he'd probably rank 4th or 5th in that list of guys. The only reason Aldridge isn't a superstar is because he plays in the upper left corner of the country.
  21. Got home last night around 11 so watched third quarter of Warriors and Magic and I hate Mark Jackson for making me watch the last three mins of the third with having his guys "foul" Howard before the ball was inbounds over and over, putting him at the line. Rules need to be changed for things like that. Clearly intentional although not meant to harm. Lame.

    Parks & F'n Recreation
  23. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) That's what happens when you don't go to college. That's something he should have learned in high school or prep school.
  24. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 09:09 AM) Didn't see much before the end of regulation, but as a neutral observer, Willie got hosed Big Time at the end of regular time. NW guy was fouled multiple times by two (or three) different MI players as he tried for the winning shot, but instead got whistled for an up and down. Agreed. It would of just fueld my hate for Stu Douglass even more if they called that foul because he got beat like he did.
