QUOTE (Nunnigan @ Oct 10, 2009 -> 11:05 AM) I saw Paranormal Activity last night, and it was a decent scary movie (better than Blair Witch in terms of the mock documentary style). There's not much of a plot, but the boyfriend Micha and girlfriend Kate have good chemistry which will lead to a few chuckle moments. You'll know when a scary moment will happen cause most of it happens at night, its just the suspense leading up to the moment will make it that more creepy. Without giving anything away, the ending has a definite WTF!?! moment, as that is what came shouting out of my mouth when it took place. I would give the movie about a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. Word to the wise though, get to the theater early if you want tickets to your showing. My brothers and I were planning to watch the 9:30 showing, but when we got to the theater we found out that not only the 9:30 showing was sold out but the 10:10 showing was sold out as well. So we ended up catching the movie at 10:45 which was also sold out. When we left the movie, it looked like the 12:30 showing could have possibly been sold out. Thanks for the info. I remember when friends and I went to see Blair Witch down in the city, cuz it wasn't released yet. We wanted to se elike the 2pm show on a Sunday and all the shows were sold out til 8pm. So we hung out downtown until then. It sounds like what I would expect.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 09:36 PM) TBS is scoring some pretty good ratings for the first couple games. up 15% over last year. Function of NYY, Boston, and both LA teams in there? It is obviously the intelligent analyzations of Chip Carey.

Certain Cub fans are publicly embarassing themselves, David Kaplan , because they seem to think missing the playoffs totally is better than making the playoffs and getting swept. http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/david-kapl...dinal-fans.html Go Cards. I think if St. Louis wins today, they win the series. Carpenter never has two bad starts in a row, not that Game 1 was really BAD, but just unlike him.

Over slept this morning so had to skip the gym. Watching Big ten Network pregame shows for the first time. Wow, they are compiling a nice roster of sideline hotties. Didn't catch the name of the brunette at the Illinois game, but dayum! Her name is Rebecca Haarlow.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 11:11 PM) He definitely has the Edmonds dive down, but I disagree with your assesment of the 2 run triple, because I don't think there is anyway he could have caught that. Hopefully, the Angels hold on. The Red Sox and Twins both being one loss away from out would be nice. Probably wouldn't of caught it but he went sideways instead of going back on it.

Liner misplayed by Ellsbury plates 2 more for Anaheim. Is it just me or does Jacoby make a lot of "Edmonds" like diving plays. He had one yesterday.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 8, 2009 -> 10:31 PM) I didn't know about the first two games, but I would have bet the Dodgers in this series. The Cards have been on cruise control for months. Cardinals hadn't been hitting the past few weeks and is now carrying over in the playoffs and it's killing them.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 8, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) His name has been thrown around for like 3 years, so when you consider that it is pretty amazing that he's just 23. Doesn't mean he's accomplished anything big, although I think he's got a shot to be very good and is already a plus reliever. Stop defending Chip Carey! Ban yourself!

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 09:54 PM) Mark DeRosa with one of the flat out worst plays I've ever seen in thebottom of the 3rd. It's going to end up costing them several runs. That was as bad as any Chuck Knoblauch throw. Only cost 1 run, weren't getting 2 anyway.

Chip Carey just said, "It's hard to believe Phil Hughes is still just 23." I know Hughes has been awesome out of the pen, but so? Has he done something so great in his career that would lead you to believe he is older? Does he have a bunch of accomplishment under his belt? I don't get it.

QUOTE (DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 07:13 PM) It's never ceased to amaze me how easily the Yanks always seem to handle the Twins. Probably helps that they don't go into series vs. them with a deafeated attitude like some team.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 06:13 PM) Also, why the f*** does Chip Caray still have a job and how the hell is he considered a good enough announcer to do playoff games? His last name. I feel empty without all the Frank TV ads this year.

Capitalism: A Love Story
QUOTE (kapkomet @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 04:41 PM) How much of "Sicko" went to help people without insurance? I think I heard he paid off a couple of those people bills. Not too mention at the end of the movie he anonymously paid off the medical bill of the wife of the guy who owned the number 1 anti-Moore website at the time.

QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 7, 2009 -> 05:23 PM) I've never watched one of his films and probably will not start now. My opinion would not change even if he donated a s*** load of money If you like movies, you should at least watch "Roger & Me". No political biasness in it.
