QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 02:00 PM) Lindsay Lohan has her own list of horrible movies. It is called her career I liked Mean Girls.....

QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 01:18 PM) Orton won clean so it was an A+ PPV imo Like you, I'm an Orton fan, but the constant title changes don't make it as cool for me that he is champ.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 12:41 PM) The beginning of the Seinfeld Reunion story-arc on Curb was so promising I want to s*** myself. Richards not paying attention to Larry cuz he was looking at the boobs was good stuff.

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) I wish they didn't spend as much time on Turtle and Eric, but I liked the Drama, Ari and Vince/Damon plotlines. But, they need to take a little focus off of Ari and his business to get back on track. You want them to take focus off the best character on the show?

QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 03:32 AM) The PPV last night looked (from the results and recaps I read, at least) to be absolute horses***. Short, predictable matches up and down the card. When the biggest "surprise" is the Taker/Punk match being the curtain jerker, that's a weak-ass PPV. If anyone watched it, was it any better than it seemed from reading the match recaps? Not really. Morrison/Zigler was ok. DX/Legacy was pretty good. That was it. Undertaker could barely move around during his match with Punk. He looks like he could be donem IMO. To give him the title is just a mistake right now.

Ari and Matt Damon saved the Entourage finale. They better get back to what brought them to the dance next year. The Matt Damon stuff after the credits was awesome. Curb continues to rock.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 5, 2009 -> 08:24 AM) Lucifer's Hammer, also The Hammer of God, were sci-fi books that were loose influences on the pair of awful, awful, awful comet movies that came out some years ago - Armageddon and Deep Impact. Probably, people have decided to stay away from that mini-genre now because they are still trying to wash that taste out of their mouths. Lucifer's Hammer influenced Deep Impact? This is a joke, right? That movie was nowhere near the book.

Where was Witten on those last two plays? The Cowboys ran the same slant plays. Did they think Bailey couldn't defend it twice?

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 04:57 PM) Thanks for the links, I hate the fact that in southern illinois we are in Rams territory I had to live down there around Rams fans when they won the Super Bowl. Most of them didnt know they had a team til that year.

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 04:27 PM) anyone know where i can watch the cowboys/denver game online, would be much appreciated. http://channelsurfing.net/

Thought ZOmbieLand was entertaining. With 2012 coming out and will obviously be awful, why don't they adapt "Lucifer's Hammer" to a movie. That's a great scifi book and if in the right hands could be a good film...as long and Emmerich and Bay stay away.

Thank you, JD!

QUOTE (SnB @ Oct 4, 2009 -> 10:28 AM) I started the series back in april and just got caught up today. Season 5 was hard to get through for me, time travel was a little too much for me. I personally hated the faraday / freighter people storyline. I like Miles and Faraday, especially after the Faraday centric episode near the end of the year, finding out he was also healed by the island. The thing about the time travel I liked was that we got to see Radzinsky, whom all we knew of before was a blood stain on the ceiling of the swan, and the Dharma stuff. Also how Ben became evil, so to speak. I look forward to reliving the season on DVD in December. Maybe catch stuff I didn't see before.

Predict now; What Happens on Sunday w/Twins, Tigers?
Brian replied to greg775's topic in The Diamond Club
Detroit is just as bad as us in the dome, aren't they? I saw advantage Twins. -

What are the odds that the same team plays a 1 game playoff game in back to back years? That is really amazing. -
QUOTE (hogan873 @ Oct 2, 2009 -> 08:05 AM) I was surprised that I only saw two from the list: A Sound of Thunder (which was horrific and a slap in the face to the awesome short story) and Dragonfly (which I actually thought was a decent movie). I remember wanting to see SOUND OF THUNDER when it came out because of the short story. Than after reading the reviews I declined.

I hope our style of play the past two games opens some eyes and it carries over to next season. We haven't been this aggressive all year.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 07:08 PM) f*** the packers, with that said, all packer fans are welcome in this thread. PS f*** the packers Don't forget f*** the packers

Ditching Rios was probably a positive for Toronto. Hope I am wrong.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 04:06 PM) If he gets pulled at 6.2 IP, giving up 0 runs, look out for Kalapse on a killing spree watch. Unless he has 150 pitches, no way he is coming out.

Grienke cruising again. If he doesn't win, I'll riot. If he was on Boston or NY, it wouldn't be an arguement

QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 3, 2009 -> 02:59 PM) I wouldn't, because this is Soxtalk not MLBtalk. Its kinda unfair though that the Packers fans on here cant use the NFL thread because 90% of the board hates the Packers. I'm with T R U. I hate the Packers but that doesn't mean they can't post in the NFL thread. They are Sox fans as well who are on SOXTALK. Just wish we could get rid of the couple of Fin fans.....
