QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 11:35 AM) What...the...hell? Some people have too much time on their hands unless they got paid to make that. -

Would rather have a bye week for Michigan than play today and risk injury. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 10:32 AM) Apparently Evan Turner is throwing around the idea of staying for his senior season. http://blog.dispatch.com/hoopsscoops/2009/...t_staying.shtml With the talent coming in next year, they could be scary good, but I'm fairly sure he will change his mind and go pro. Since I watched them both in high school, would be nice to watch Turner and Lenzelle play together for a year. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 17, 2009 -> 08:56 AM) Rumor(almost confirmed) that Ryan Hare has been booted from SIU. Outside of his suspension? -
"Flash Forward" was top notch last night. Like the John Cho character and how he is dealing with his future. The first scene in slow motion was well done as well.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) My wife wants to go see the new Disney Christmas Carol 3D feature too. I'm not a fan of the motion capture animation but "A Christmas Carole" is one of my favorite stories of all time. I see every version.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 11:10 AM) Modern Family continues to be hilarious. I'm falling for Sofia Vegara

I didn't hate the new Kelsey Grammar show. I forgot that most shows are shot on film on location now. You take for granted the old studio shoots with 4 cameras on video with a laugh track. This Patricia Heaton show is as bad as Cougar Town. Sucks I have to sit through it to wait for "Modern Family".

My parents never let me order from that because they knew there was a catch and they didn't want to be held responsible for it.

So, ESPN making it sound like the Yankees are the first team ever to imply the 3 man rotation in the playoffs. Would you want Chad Gaudin pitching Game 4?

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 01:40 PM) Just saw this I'm not old enough to remember the earlier years of his career, but I thought he was great as part of the Headshrinkers gang alongside Afa the Wild Samoan. Wow, you are really young. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 07:28 PM) Huh, just found out that Diamond Taylor transferred to SIU. Hopefully he can prevent himself from relieving other people of their things, and concentrate on basketball. Read that last week. Hoping his thing at Wisc was an isolated incident. He's a player. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 03:58 PM) Ideally I want us to just say f*** it all and go home the more thought I give it, but I know that's not politically feasible. Exactly.

I saw this on Fox News. Made it seem like he is trying to doing it all sneaky. No matter who was president, we'd be sending more over there. You can't take troops out as of yet. Not stable enough.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 12:48 PM) I think the atomic bombs rate higher than Columbine. Like I said, in no particular order.

I was tempted to put this in Filibuster but hope it won't have to be moved there. If Mods think it belongs there, I understand. What are 5 events that happened in our history that effected/changed the world/country? We are all of different ages so it may vary. No particular order... 1. 9/11: Since Pearl Harbor, the first attack inside our country from another country/foriegners. Seems like an event that also brought the country together for the first time in a long time. 2. Pearl Harbor: Brought the US into World War 2, as a result, D-Day and Nagasaki/Hiroshima, which could be 2 seperate choices. 3. JFK Assasination: I was born in 79 but seemed like an event that could of had a hand in counter culture. Would we of stayed in Vietnam? Just from reading things, you wonder how different things would of been if JFK lived and served his terms. 4. The signing of the Declaration of Independance, duh. 5. Columbine Shooting...People will disagree with me. I was in college at the time and remember the aftermath. In my eyes, we were living of fear of everything. Y2K was shoved down our throats. High Schools and colleges weren't safe anymore. Metal detectors in schools. We still see incidents today like this. Never remember hearing of school shooting before Columbine in 99.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 11:14 AM) I learned a lot too. It really is interesting how quickly the conspiracy stuff actually started. One question I have is, did they ever try and get finger prints off the rifle found by the window? Or was that technology not available yet? It was odd that they find the rifle and just grab it with no gloves and carry it around like its a cane or something.

I just finished. Congrats, Steve. I could never run a marathon. My knees and ankles are all worn out.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 08:41 AM) Caught most of part 2 yesterday. Great stuff. I'll be sure to check out the entirety of this special. Just watched Part 2. I was always facinated by this whole thig and back in high school, read a bunch of stuff. There is stuff in Part 2 that I didn't know about. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 12, 2009 -> 09:23 PM) I never knew that the first person to air the Zapruder Film on television was Geraldo Rivera. Me neither. How old is that guy?
