IMO, that’s the Ron Effect. Game threads feel it when in the absence of ron, who has a magnetic presence that gets threads rolling.

He plays 6 positions. At one point this summer, he was 2nd on the team in RBIs. Leury Garcia stans have a lot to be proud of. He’s grinded here for 9 years and this team is lucky to have him.

Carl Edwards Jr signing is interesting. He's put up some real solid seasons, mixed in with a couple not MLB-worthy.

And this is why I consider ron to be the #1 poster on SoxTalk. ron thinks like a MLB manager, not a fan. He has that ability to think of baseball in another dimension the rest of us can’t see. ron is worthy of being held in the highest regard and utmost respect.

Yes, this is the point I made yesterday. Network executives love Gordon and Pods because they are generally considered the sexiest White Sox ever, which allows them to get a foothold in the female demographic. The difference between Gordon and Pods is Gordon oozes charisma and Pods is dull as dirt, which is why Gordon is announcing and Pods gets pregame/postgame. But their perception among females is entirely the reason those two were selected.
