We exited the Dan Ryan onto 31st at 5:45. Didn’t get to our seat until 7:15. Even at 6:50, the entrance lines were absolutely massive. On the 1st base side, lines were backed up all the way to the railroad tracks.

I've seen weird things like "Win 4 Field of Dreams tickets from _________ Farmers Association" but absolutely nothing about publicly available tickets. I think the tickets are all going to connected baseball people, corporate sponsors, organizations, charities, etc. and the only hope is those people putting them up on StubHub.

One option is to buy the cheapest lower level you can get so you can walk around and buy from the best vendors, but actually sit in the best upper deck seat that's empty. As a lower level STH during the down years, I only paid attention to a few innings. The games were boring. I usually walked around - lower deck and upper deck - socializing, trying new views, finding the best food, and exploring the shops.

ESPN’s whole identity has been spewing its East Coast propaganda for 15+ years now. The only non-live sporting event I’ve watched on that channel for the past decade is College Gameday. Washing my hands of that channel was a great life decision.

Extra innings rule should be abolished and never spoken of again, but attending summer doubleheaders is the best part of baseball fandom. If 7-innings are a way to get more doubleheaders, I'm willing to make a deal with the devil and sacrifice 2 innings.
