QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 12:50 PM) Now THAT Is what got him in trouble in the first place!! Depends on her hair style. I did find it quite strange that the hoopla seemed more about "nappy haired" then it did about "ho's"

I applaud you for coming on here seeking advice. I deplore you for not taking said advice, but I do wish you good luck young man. Welcome to the crazy world of the friendzone, lust, love, sex and that weird s*** in the middle. The latter of which, I believe you are stuck in. Hope it washes off easy...sometimes it can be a bit sticky. Live and learn.

When you think of baseball in Chicago you think of the White Sox. When you think of tourist destinations in Chicago you think of Wrigley Field.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) Even when it comes to sports figures, I always feel bad campaigning for someone to lose their job. But especially with Imus. Personally I just don't like Imus, but I don't think he deserved to be fired. His mistake may have been to open his show up to Sharpton. If he had been suspended that day and then came back in two weeks, this would have been a blip. But once the cameras and all starting covering hypocritical, opportunist extortionists like Sharpton and Jackson, Imus was sunk. nah damned if you do damned if you don't. If he didn't face the music. It would have still went on. As soon as Sharpton and Jesse were involved, you knew it was over.

QUOTE(WhiteSoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 10:50 AM) by the way, shes 18, im 20. That really would be a decent move, but im not that desperate for her. Plus it ruins a friday night im really looking foward too. I know this, and I have to keep reminding myself of this. I just know in the back of my mind how I am, and how I get attached rather easily. I know I could never let it show though. If I ever did, chase over and game over. You're going out with a girl that has a boyfriend, who went out of her way to tell you that she will prolly get back with him and is just taking a break. Now if she also told you I'm tired of riding the same old Harley all the time, so I'm just looking for a change of pace.....perhaps sometehing smoother with a little more kick....then I would say get those RPMs up and go for it. She didn't say that though. Fact is you may not be desperate for her, but it looks desperate from her point of view, which is why she feels safe going out with you. Cancel on her..tell her maybe some other time. Spend your Friday night watching the Sox beat down the tribe. BTW...my advice is also your best advice for winning this chick over if she ever does decide to leave her boyfriend. If she doesn't...then my advice was also the best for you. It's Win Win baby!!

Call her up and cancel on her now. Just tell her something came up and you'll talk to her later.

I have to add Arod to the list. Not because he is good, I don't dislike players for that, but because with all his talent he has pulled some pretty bush league moves.

With my luck it will happen right at 4:00 when I leave work. Just like the 9th inning of every Sox day game begins right when I have to leave. I think I need to change my hours!!

QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) i think imus saying what he said about the duke case is entirely valid and I'm actually looking forward to the response. In general, scholarship lax players on the east coast haven't come off as the most down to earth guys, but these kids were dragged through hell and back. They deserve a gigantic apology. what did he say?

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians are set to return home this weekend for their 2007 home debut to play host to division rival Chicago White Sox in a three-game series beginning Friday, April 13 at 7:05 p.m. It has been "The Longest Time" since the Tribe played an official home game at Jacobs Field, so what better way to begin the exciting weekend series against the White Sox than to have an appearance by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and six-time Grammy-award winning artist Billy Joel. Billy Joel, in town performing at his sold out Quicken Loans Arena concert this Friday night, will toss the ceremonial first pitch prior to Friday's 7:05 p.m. Indians Game against Chicago. "We are very excited to have legendary Billy Joel take the time to visit Jacobs Field before his Friday night performance," said Cleveland Indians Vice President of Public Relations Bob Dibiasio. "Billy is a huge baseball fan and has been following the weather challenges that have plagued the City of Cleveland the past few days. This is his way of paying tribute to the passionate Tribe fans who have been patient to get the home season started." Hopefully this isn't in concrete

Becoming Illegal (From a Maryland resident to his senator) The Honorable Paul S. Sarbanes Senate Office Building 309 Hart Washington DC, 20510 Dear Senator Sarbanes, As a native Marylander and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you. My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005. Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year. Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as "in-state" tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son. Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car. If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance. Your Loyal Constituent, Pete McGlaughlin Please pass this onto your friends so they can save on this great offer!
