  1. When you read the headline of the article, it seems like she was hooking up with the husband. Still a very dumb move, but not as bad as I had first thought. Love the picture they used of her on Sun times.
  2. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) I didn't see the game yesterday, but lining up over the inside corner is known as working "the slot." You never line up on the middle of the plate, you don't want to be looking directly over the catcher. Of course with this the outside corner is harder to see than the inside corner, but that's how it goes. I watched some other umps to compare and they seemed to line up over the center of the plate. The catcher moves around so the ump wasn't always rigth above him, but the times I saw when the catcher was centered, the ump was directly above him. Maybe it's like an old school vs new school thing?? I actually don't mind the ump setting up on the inside corner. I would rather them get that call right over the outside edge. Nothing worse then painting the inside corner and not getting it.
  3. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) You got some big balls there CC, putting your hands on someone you know nothing about. Well I can handle myself if I had to, but I would say he had the balls for sticking his feet next to someone's head. Maybe next time he's at the show he'll think.... hmmm last time I did this someone threw my feet to the ground, this time someone might pop me in the nose...I think I'll keep my stinky dogs to myself.
  4. Not sure if it was just me, but I thought he lined up kinda funny. Like he always lined up over the inside corner of the plate instead of the center of the plate. I think that's why his outside corner calls were a bit inconsistent, but over all I thought he did a pretty good job. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=cws Go to sights and sounds and click Vazquez strikes out 8. You can kinda see it there.
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:23 AM) that is beyond rude. He must have realized this and thus started to pretend to sleep so he wouldnt have to apologize for it. How old did you think he was? Late 20's early 30's. The guy he was with was a bit older, maybe late 40's. He nudged him when the movie ended, but the guy wouldn't open his eyes.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 04:11 AM) Chalk me up as another "Live Free or Die Hard" fan. Phenomenal action film. Me too!!! Probably the best of the set. On another note: Speaking of rudeness in theatres, this dude behind us kept putting his feet on the chair next to my wife. Nothing like someones bare feet next to your head.(Well he had flip flops on) Anyway, She didn't say anything to me, she just kept giving him a look when he would do it, thinking he would stop. I didn't notice cause I was pretty engrossed in the movie. Towards the end I had my arm around her chair and felt him kick the chair a couple times. I was like whatever, maybe he was just adjusting his legs. Then it happened a third time and I turned around and saw he had his feet up next to her head. So I reached over and grabbed his ankle and threw it down and he looked at me all bewildered and I looked at him like wtf you ignorant ass. No words were spoken and that was that. Movie ended about 10 minutes later and when we got up I was going to tell him what my problem was if he asked, but he pretended like he was sleeping.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 04:11 PM) One thing Farmer has said over and over today, and its true. Not one of the Twins players have hit the deck. They have basically sat in there and teed off on our pitching all day long. Well we did score 10...I can see them not laying down. On the other had if they were bunting and stealing I might say WTF??
  8. QUOTE(DonnyDevito @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) ControlledChaos, on the bright side that may be the sweetest room i have ever seen in your sig. Glad I can brighten your day.
  9. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 04:04 PM) After this debacle I wouldn't be surprised if they announce that tehy have agreed to a contract with MB. Just to appease the fans. I'm just throwing that out there. If anything this would be the perfect time to announce a trade. Everyone is already pissed off..What's another log on the fire going to do??
  10. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 04:03 PM) Kenny may just make the moves before game 2 of the double header. Can he trade some players to Minnesota for some of their minor league coaches??
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) Whoah...if the Red Sox throw some cash the Sox way and the deal enables the club to get Bucholtz, Ellsburry or someone else plus Willy Mo than I'd bite at the deal. With the Sox obviously taking Julio Lugo as well and Boston getting Juan Uribe or Tadahito. I don't care who they throw our way. I want Mark on this team. Not getting it done when it's this close is ridiculous.
  12. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ Jul 6, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) And this from Jayson Stark ESPN Insider Jul 6 - According to ESPN.com's Jayson Stark, the White Sox are reportedly marketing Buehrle aggressively, but teams are balking at the price -- three players with two being prime-time prospects. Stark is also hearing that Boston might be getting back in on Buehrle and trying to expand the deal to include Julio Lugo. This f***in blows!!!!!!!
  13. I have a Canon SD700 and it's a great camera. It's about 1.5 second from shot to shot, with flash enabled it's about 2 seconds. All these Canon models have a burst mode where you can hold down the button and it will take continuous shots. The image stabilization is pretty amazing. Costs between 300-330. Whatever you buy, I would check out some reviews first. http://reviews.cnet.com/Digital_cameras/20....html?tag=glnav EDIT: Doh...you already purchased.
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 09:05 AM) Any word on if Mark is asking for some kind of a "no trade" clause? He has to be. Why give a hometown discount and then not stay in the hometown. I think the whole reason for Mark doing this is cause he wants to stay here. There are millions and millions of reasons for him to go elsewhere, yet he is choosing to work something out here. The no trade clause should be a no brainer. Oh, but to answer your question, no I haven't heard anything. Then again I don't know anyone either.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) While we're foolishly waiting around for any type of update, what's everyone's percentage in terms of Buehrle re-signing in the next 2 days? I'm at 30 pct now. I'm at 65%
  16. and he will be processed under those new laws that we're put in place. I'm not sure what he'll get though since he didn't make contact with anyone.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 28, 2007 -> 08:22 AM) Farmer said that Buehrle wants 14 million a year.....I'm 100 pct sure that's the number he stated. Friday deadline, here we come. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/wh...-ssep28.article Without any first hand knowledge(or some would say without much knowledge at all) Mark appears to really have a strong desire to stay here. If he is asking around 14-15 and has compromised to 4 years then the Sox really need to get it done. He's not asking for the house. He's not asking for 5-7 years. He has shown he's willing to compromise. I don't really know the numbers or years, but if they are what's being reported then this deal should be done by Friday.
  18. My head hurts!! I can't believe some of you live for this s***.
  19. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jun 27, 2007 -> 11:31 AM) I will say this... The Score keeps promoting the Brute and the Highlands at Grand Geneva. I golfed there earlier this month and both courses were in tip top shape!!
