I say he gets it done too. A stellar effort like we saw most of this year. He wants it and has something to prove after the last 2 outings. Sox 4-2....Twins lose....you know, just to tease us.

abozichiu...... no offense, but thanks for replacing your Avatar. I don't know who your old one was, but thank you.

Why didn't Loaiza TELL Jerry he was that sick..? Rather than crying to everyone else..? Geez... I'm not a fan of JM's by any means, but it's pretty sick how he get's blamed for everything and the f***ing ADULTS on the field get a pass. When do they get to start taking some responsibility..? Remember when Rick White did this and he was brought in to pitch anyway, I think it was aginst Baltimore. I really think Jerry is on the take. I am serious he makes no good moves. Shouldn't at some point JM say, so how you feel today. Wheather he is serious or not? And people around here are so naive that they figure Loaiza complained about being sick to anyone who'd listen but that not one person, NOT ONE PERSON, that he complained to would go up to JM and say, "ELo said he's deathly ill. Go talk to him about starting tonight." Right. So he wouldn't talk to JM for what reason? Why is it Graffanino's responsibility to tell JM "hey don't start Esteban" when in fact, Esteban might be sick, but still ok to pitch. Geez.. I'm with you jinx.. errr.. Koch That's pretty cool if Loaiza has a little babysitter like that. Wonder if someone else wipes but butt for him, too... Why don't you ask someone in the White Sox Organization since you claim to know so many "insiders." Good one. Glad I'm not the only one around here who thinks that.

ALL of which was posted AFTER he called us assholes and told us to :fyou . Keep up. So then it's okay? I'd keep up, but you keep changing the rules.

"Get off your high horse and become a season ticket holder.. whiner." "We are the ones who put up money to go to games. We are the ones they base their payroll on, not someone who is too cheap to buy a ticket in the lower deck." "What's he gonna do....throw stuff at you from his seat WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY up there???? He certainly can't come DOWN and look for you!!!" Yes, calling people "whiners", "cheap" and talk of being "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY up there" could be considered to have a pompous attitude.

No, you're the one I was thinking of. I must have got it wrong, you don't sit with the players wives, you just brag about knowing some of them and the players. If I'm not mistaken, you posted here that at the All Star game you were able to help a friend with upper deck tickets get into the lower section. Don't be a hypocrite. What irks me is the attitude that you and some of the other season ticket holders have displayed here in this post. You act like the people who sit in the upper deck aren't as good a fan because they don't pay as much for their tickets. Economics. Some people can afford it, while others can't. 300 bucks is 300 bucks, and while you may have set that money aside, Joe Soxfan might be working a double at the mill so he can make ends meet and only buys upper deck tickets when he can because its all he can afford. Comments like "Get off your high horse and become a season ticket holder.. whiner" implys a very pompous attitude. Without these "whiners" as you like to refer to them, attendance would be worse than it already is. The season ticket holder base is only 7,000-10,000 (I don't know an exact number). Economics, right. Well if all you can afford is upper deck tickets, then sit in the upper deck. Don't b**** and moan that you should be entitled to sit in seats you have decided not to buy. And why not use some cunning and guile and sneak your way into the lower deck. Its not exactly a firing squad guarding the gate.By the way, the upper deck is not nearly as bad as it is made out to be, especially the first few rows in the infield. There are a lot of people who prefer to sit up there. Sorry Dick, if you are going to quote me, try to follow along. My arguement was with some of the pompous attitudes being displayed here throughout the thread by a few of the season ticket holders. There have been no pompous attitudes on display here, except for the guy who started the thread, believing that he should be entitled access to anywhere he wants while buying a ticket for the upper deck. Sit where you bought a ticket to sit, or think of a way to bypass the system, its really not that hard. here's a few comments... "Get off your high horse and become a season ticket holder.. whiner." "We are the ones who put up money to go to games. We are the ones they base their payroll on, not someone who is too cheap to buy a ticket in the lower deck." Did you see what those comments were in response to ? The second one was mine and it was in response to the comment that the Sox would never have a $70 million payroll because of season ticketholders. I do think the Sox payroll budget is largely based on their season ticket base, not based on whether a guy is too cheap to pay $5 to access a couple more areas he wants be in. He also said that being a season ticketholder for a team that has gone as long as the Sox without winning a World Series is for losers. If everyone had his attitude about purchasing tickets, this team would resemble the Detroit Tigers. The Sox have long been known as a blue collar team. They recently haven't had the season ticket base you'd like to see. This team depends alot to the "Walk-up fan" or whatever you want to call them. Alot of the Sox fans now, go when it is convenient or when they can afford it. If all they can afford is an upper deck ticket, then so be it, I'm glad to have them at them park. In my 1st post in this thread, I stated that I don't agree with the policy, but understand why it is in place. I do have a problem with the fan that buys the cheapest ticket, then sneaks their way down to the "better" seats, hence the reason the restriction was put in place. No, season ticket holders are not losers, as the other poster mentioned, they are a very valuable fan, but so are the "walk-up fan". "...not based on whether a guy is too cheap to pay $5 to access a couple more areas he wants be in" If Joe Soxfan goes with a family of 6, that $5 turns into $30, and that is the part that might make it expensive for a certain fan. Not because he is cheap. Not by a longshot.

You think you're going to get it changed..? That's funny. And I think you need to turn your " :fyou " to the mirror "asshole". If it wasn't for us season ticket holders you wouldn't have what you've got. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Get off your high horse and become a season ticket holder.. whiner. I actually don't agree with the policy either, but I understand the need for it. It would not, however, make me go to more games. What I didn't agree with was the restriction being in place for the All-Star game this year. I didn't care about sitting in the upper deck because I'm at the park plenty in the lower deck, but for someone coming from out of town or someone who has never been at the park, I thought it was a bad idea to restrict access to the lower bowl. "Get off your high horse and become a season ticket holder.. whiner." Wow, I didn't realize this was a message board for the rich only. "Get off your high horse"? Maybe you should take some of your own advice. This coming from a poster who throws "season ticket holder" and "I sit with the players wives" around constantly like it's some sort of staus symbol. I'm quite sure that most members of this board do their share of getting to the games, but season tickets may not be in the budget for alot also, I would guess. Season tickets is not like a season pass to Six Flags, not even close. Now please, step down off your high horse.

Buehrle should have went yesterday against the Yankees. My Lord, he gave up 8 runs to the offensive juggernaut we call the Detroit Tigers. Imagine what he would have done against the Bronx Bombers. I think all the JM screwed up talk can go away now. Not a good outing in the least, behind hitters all night. Now we've got to pray for a split in the next 2 to go 3-3 on the roadtrip and get the hell back home. The Tigers........sheeeesh. How's that? If youre praying for a split of the next two games, youve given up. Playoff team dont pray to win 1 of 3 against maybe the worst team in the history of baseball. Anything less than winning the next two will be unacceptable. I agree it is unacceptable. Toatally unacceptable. But the fact of the matter is, we suck on the road and we have unexplainable trouble against the Tigers. 9-8 against a team that has a grand total of 34 wins on the entire season is unacceptable.

This is somehow Jerry Manuel related, I just know it. Come on guys, back me on this one.... -the extra day off hurt Mark -Mark wanted to pitch yesterday, not today -my back hurts today, but it was okay yesterday -? -?

Return of the Koch II: Billy's Revenge
Patrick_Bateman replied to RibbieRubarb's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Well then.. you agree with me as well. Welcome to the boards. "Point... THIS year Koch BLOWS.. and he should stay in Charlotte as long as necessary.. for the rest of the season if necessary. Because THIS YEAR he sucks!" Yes, I agree with this statement. However, an EFFECTIVE Koch, gives us the best bullpen in the Central and I think that is the point that anthony007 was trying to make. The YEAR is not over and if Koch can right himself, he will be very valuable to us. -

Agreed. Patrick Bateman - welcome now you would either be the return of BrandoFan or you are a brand new member you has a thing for the writings of Bret Easton Ellis (as I do) and American Psycho in particular so if you are BrandoFan, welcome back, and if not, I welcome another BEEllis fan to soxtalk but stay away from me with the hampster cage No, sorry, I am not BrandoFan. Just a huge fan of the American Psycho movie. Excellent one-liners in that. I never read the book or any of Bret Easton Ellis' writings either, although, I hear they are quite good. -

Agreed. Agree with him on what...? Please be specific. Thanks. The first post of the thread states... "Well, he proclaims himself healthy and ready to go. KW says he looks good... I heard these statements in January, too. But an effective Koch gives us the Best Bullpen in the Central. Who gets sent down though?" I agree with Anthony007 that, yes, an EFFECTIVE Koch, gives us the best bullpen in the Central. If he falls on his face, like he did last night, then we have no use for him. If he is able to right himself, then an EFFECTIVE Koch would be very useful to the Sox down the stretch. That, sweetie, is a fact and cannot be disputed. -

Breaking News: Sox acquire Scott Sullivan
Patrick_Bateman replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
tony i feel your pain believe me i do.. but if it werent a pipe dream and someone was really tryin to put together something awesome here then we would just drop the whole ball and get guys like bonds et el... to play for us for one season to win it all....... patching up this s*** with a stitch here and some glue there isnt exactly throwing together a contending team........hell we wouldnt even be in any race right now if we were still considered the west division.........good thing our division sucks so badly its the only thing keepin us alive......just some food for thought...... Are you even a Sox fan, or just some big mouth who criticizes everything? Why don't YOU shut the f*** up with your constant negativity. I assume you would be happier with a non contending club so you have more to b**** about? YOU NEED TO GET LAID. :dips*** Thank God, I thought I was the only one who thought this. Everything is negative and...her posts....are so.. ..annoying to read.. ..because of all.... the ...... & :finger ....smilies all over the messages. Another thing, is this chick even hot? Or is it like the big fat guy on my softball team that we call Tiny? My guess is the "Tiny" thing. Maybe we should get a poll going. She's.............probably got a .......good personality...though.
