  1. email them to me at dachort (at) Gmail... I should be able to fix em.
  2. No, I'm not kidding... I can't believe that wasn't included in the daily prospect report. I hadn't seen any sox in it in quite a while so I went to BA to look at their stats... Rogo is tearing it up, and OPS over .900
  3. ...pitched .2 innings in the AFL -- 4H 4R 2ER 1BB -- 27.00ERA
  4. While I believe the allegeations of impropriety, I highly doubt the level of involvement of Jim Tressel that Clarett claims. It sounds like Tressel is taking the brunt of Clarett's anger.
  5. ... I heard they won a playoff game too in his tenure.
  6. yeah that would be like trading away the face of your franchise at the ASB. :rolly
  7. Just like any other young kid who rapidly becomes famous... I get the feeling that Phelps probably never touched a drop of alcohol pre-olympics. As soon as his events were over (with a week of the Olympics left) he partied it up in a foreign country... He pretty much said this in interviews after his events were done. I'm not trying to make excuses, just relating. I was a highly competitive swimmer when I was younger, and as soon as I lost that motivating factor to take the "straight-and-narrow", I went a little crazy... I'm not the only one, a number of friends who were equally involved had the same trouble. It takes an immense amount of time to be an elite swimmer. As a rule swimmers are some of the most disciplined people on earth. But when that outlet is gone, if they are unable to replace that time with anything constructive, they have problems. It's alot like child stars.

  9. Queeny, If you work in Rolling Meadows, you should be in the Harper College district. You should be able to take classes there at a resident rate. ($50/Credit hour) last time I took a class there. I'm sure It's gone up, but I'm sure your class would be under $200.
  10. Check Apu's signature... if we were all polly-anna's, those in power would abuse it more than they already do. It's our duty as americans to question authority.
  11. I don't know why everyone keeps bringing up injuries with Johnson... In the past 7 season's he has only had less than 34 starts once... In the past 7 season's he's only had an ERA above 3.00 twice... and one was the injury shortened season.
  12. He's shown in the past that he's not half the player he is healthy, when coming back from injury. He takes time to heal... I hate to say it, but I just don't see him posting a season with a BA anywhere near .300. His strikeouts will be up, and his walks down too. It's just what's happened in the past.
  13. Deffered salary becomes guarenteed when a player is traded... (per CBA via other posts in this thread)
  14. Current Payroll....$63.00M(about) Konerko.............(8.75) Garland.............(3.00) Johnson.............16.00 ========================= Adjusted Payroll...$67.25 Add Vizquel..........4.00 ========================= Adjusted Payroll...$71.25
  15. Yeah everything I've read puts Sexson in Seattle and Delgado in Baltimore, but there's plenty of time for deals to fall through. And a short while ago Sexson was all but assured to end up in Arizona.
  16. Forgot to add this... Don't get too excited about this yet folks... Sexson and Delgado have to be off the table first. Konerko's value is considerably lowered with those two free agents available.
  17. Which deal would you rather do? Deal #1) Johnson -> Konerko, Garland, prospects(Young, PTBNL(one of the 2004 draft class)) Deal #2) Johnson -> Konerko, Diaz, (one of Sweeney, Anderson; one of BMac, Honel, PTBNL(Gio)) --------------------- I'd push hard for #2. The goal is to put a winning (read World Series) club on the field in year 1. Deal #2 essentially allows you to keep garland in favor of Diaz and some higher level prospects. This is assuming that the original deal doesn't already include them (which I'm almost positive it does)
  18. I'm only on page three, but it's bugged me that nobody has corrected this.... yet, they may have by the time I make it to page ten, but Jon Garland is property of the Chicago White Sox through the 2006 season. He has two more years here.
  19. gmail.edu didn't work either.
