  1. Dunn -- .296 SO/PA Borchard --.287 SO/PA It's damn close. Borchard -- .04HR/PA Dunn -- .068HR/PA
  2. I think they will pick one BP arm Spots already taken Shingo Marte Politte FA Cotts/Adkins Grilli/Diaz/Munoz (Munoz has the inside track I think as a Lefty specialist) (Grilli/Diaz would be mop-up/long relief/spot starter) Now If they don't add one the FA spot is almost certainly taken by Cotts/Adkins. Also don't discount Schoenewies in that FA spot. It could happen if KW can convince him he is a BP pitcher. Use him as a lefty specialist.
  3. I agree Wille = He gone one of Cotts/Adkins = He gone, possibly both, as a I could see Diaz or even Grilli taking a spot from them Davis, I don't wanna see back. We've seen his potential in the one 3 -week stretch when he hit, porblem was it was sandwiched by extended slumps, and his history shows nothing but hitting slumps. Burke is a capable back up, and Buehrle's personal catcher, I'd like to see him back next season -- Makes near minimum
  4. right now? a sandwich. I'm hungry.
  5. I'll definitely agree with you on that one..
  6. San Fran wins -- Cubs now a full game behind both Houston and SF.
  7. Nah this just shows you what happens when you run your mouth... Take notice, the next consistenly bumped thread could be yours
  8. When I first clicked the link (i didn't vote, as I didn't watch) the dabate was still going, yet the poll was 13-4 Bush. So those that actually watched the debate have pushed the results heavily the other direction... 15-3 Kerry since I first looked.
  9. He's not even close to the worst baserunner on the team...
  10. And he tied Sisler's record for hits ...257 ... Oh wait. Nevermind.
  11. well that worked well.... This just in... Bush say Tony Pena is a Flip-flopper.
  12. Carlos .310 Rowand .311 Can you feel him breathing down your neck Arow?
  13. Not the most underrated in all of baseball, but he's definitely taken for granted around here... I know I've been guilty.
  14. Tuffy Rhodes. -- I don't know about that one.. I just remember the 3-HR debut, and his automatic induction into the hall of fame. Actually I think he now has the sigle season record for HR's in Japan.
  15. If you know where to find such a thing definitely link it... I've been doing some dirty park-adjusted ERA's, nuetralizing the pitchers home park, using the ESPN park factor info, but it's tedious, and a bit too volitile the way I've been doing it. (which is proper in theory, but going on park numbers for just one season doesn't seem fair)(though for the new USCF i think that's the only choice)
  16. Like I said, I can remember tight races, but I can't remember a final weekend series that was pretty much a head-to-head playoff - You lose, you go home.
  17. When was the last time two teams met head to head on the final weekend of the season to determine the division champ? It's been a while, I can't remember any off the top of my head.
  18. ...for Strikeouts... Adam Dunn first tied, then passed Bobby Bonds for the most ever strikeouts in a season with 191. Oh and Ichiro! only needs one hit to tie Sisler.
  19. I don't know if you've noticed, but the reds have one of the worst pitching staffs in recent baseball history.
  20. I saw an interview with Neal cotts or Jon Garland, I forget which, probably Neal, anyway one of the questions was about food/good places to eat, etc. Neal said "you should probably ask Adkins that question he's always the one who's eating."
  21. That's where I was for all but one of the games I went to.
  22. nice.... I think that HR's and Walks are the two most important thinks to avoid when looking for a pitcher who will succeed in the Cell. That being said, I'm glad we have MB. Even though his #'s don't show it this season, he has been pretty good at avoiding the longball, and he challenges hitters/doesn't give the free pass.
