  1. White Sox senior vice president Rick Hahn said he was "in a little bit of disbelief" regarding Shohei Ohtani's decision to sign with the Dodgers on Tuesday. Chicago was among the main suitors for Ohtani prior to Tuesday's decision. "If the offer that I'm seeing, or the acceptance of the offer I'm seeing is true, actually our offer had the opportunity for Shohei to surpass that," Hahn told reporters at the White Sox's Spring Training facility in Glendale, AZ. "But in the end we went after the guy, obviously we didn't get him, and we're disappointed."
  2. Tony Kemp is 80 years old, and has a triple and stolen base.
  3. If you fire Hahn, they will come.
  4. Oakland bullpen guys Rico Garcia (15.00) & Shintaro Fujinami (10.04) shut down the Sox, Remillard double the only thing separating perfection.
  5. Yes, Oakland has 3 good plus players to the White Sox 1. 1+ fWAR through half the season (2 fWAR pace for an average starting player): 3.4 Robert 1.4 Noda 1.1 Rooker 1.0 Peterson
  6. Position Player Team fWAR: Chicago 4.3 vs, Oakland 2.5
  7. If he takes scissors pregame to everyone's 1983 uniforms, all of this will have been worth it.
  8. Colson Montgomery and Yasmani Grandal for Perez, Greinke, Lyles and Dozier wouldn't surprise me. Hahn's chef kiss. And Perez clobbers another home run.
  9. Sox OPS Leaders: Robert .889 Remillard .860 Vaughn .785
  10. Two groundouts to the SS after meatballs down the middle for Eloy.
  11. Jose Castro ejected for going after Tripp Gibson for that bullshit call on Tim, among other things.
  12. Let's remember that Tim Anderson is Hahn's biggest domestic success, one of only three over a decade. 2+ bWAR White Sox seasons - Domestic Players drafted by: Rick Hahn (2013-Jerry's Death + Probate) (5) SS Tim Anderson 2013 R1: 2016 2.4; 2018 3.7; 2019 4.2; 2020 2.3; 2021 4.7. (2) SP Carlos Rodon 2014 R1: 2018 2.0; 2021 5.1. (1) RP Aaron Bummer 2014 R19: 2019 2.8.
  13. Not watching, but looked like a ball on Gameday for the punchout.
  14. You need to play your best outfielders covering large outfields / foul ground like Oakland. Sheets should never play RF in a park like Oakland or Colorado. If Eloy can't play RF anymore, than get Sheets ass off this roster and bring up Colas.
  15. Billy Beane will laugh his ass of watching how low the White Sox have fallen this season.
  16. DFA, he is a .700 Platoon Only DH. He will never hold value at the MLB level.
  17. Will be so White Sox if Banks is chased before Medina.
  18. "Tim is absolutely mentally lost, he is not in the right spot." - Darrin Jackson, after strikeout number 2
  19. The A's bullpen is better than Funky Cold Medina, but it would be nice to get to the bullpen early to use them up before the final two games. Their best starters are going Saturday (Kaprielian) and Sunday (Blackburn, their best).
  20. Sox lead, nice clutch hit Eloy. Keep the line moving Andrew!
  21. I enjoy one beer at home everyday, unless I'm going out (then typically 2-3 out, 0 at home). Pale Ale (3 Floyds/SNPA) and West Coast IPAs (Beachwood Amalgamator, Pliny the Elder) are my favorites, though I like most styles and try to have a few different styles within each week. BA Imperial Stouts (no adjuncts) my favorites in the Winter. Wish we got Fremont here beyond festivals, their beers are awesome. Pour more beer than one a week, and Go Sox!
  22. He's a good reserve at this stage 60 games played. Romy and Tim should start. I hate the Twins more than Emma hates IPAs.
