The need to keep Sheets in for Frazier, put Remillard in Frazier's spot for 2B. Leaves Haseley as the last bench player. Kelly had seven pitches, let him get the 9th.

Excellent double play to get out of it. Keep Joe in to start the 8th.

They changed it to a hit per Len. DJ said it was a hit from the get go.

Joe Kelly needs to bear down here, only one LHB due among the next four.

Their best current options are to DH Grandal against LHS when he isn't catching. LHS: RF Jimenez, DH Grandal, split Remillard with Andrus until Romy returns. RHS: DH Jimenez, RF Sheets (replace vs. LH reliever or close game late).

Yes, but the six finalists play on real teams with a significant number of fans. Sox typically don't have the same fan voting history as other teams since Jerry decimated the fan base. Does Jerry even have ushers anymore handing out ballots? Agreed he should be in the Top 20, but the Finalists are solid as well. (fWAR AL OF Rank; fWAR) Aaron Judge (3; 2.8) Mike Trout (4; 2.7) Randy Arozarena (2; 2.8) Yordan Alvarez (6; 2.3) Kevin Kiermaier (13, 1.8) Adolis Garcia (5; 2.6)

We do not want Colas this year either. We want a GM who signed Conforto. Charlotte slash lines: Last 30 Games: .211 / .265 / .276 Last 15 Games: .140 / .208 / .163 Last 7 Games: .150 / .182 / .200

- 6/26 - White Sox recall OF Adam Haseley from Charlotte, option Jose Rodriguez to Birmingham
And it's a disservice to their confidence and development to bring up guys under 23 or 24 beyond a September Call Up reward unless they have established a significant level of progression through the AAA level. These guys have been rushed because year after year Hahn has failed to sign legitimate starting 2B and RFers as well as solid roster depth and flexibility. 17 Age 23 or less have a 0.5 + fWAR YTD, 28 total with 0.1 +. 29 Total Hitters throughout the MLB have over 77 Plate Appearances YTD at age 23 or less. and 43 total have 1 or more. Minor League Players brought up without proper development: Oscar Colas (Age 24) - One American Year, 117 Total Minor League Games Played, 7 Games Played in AAA Charlotte Lenyn Sosa (Age 23) - 2021 promoted from A+ and played 35 total games at AA. 2022 62 Games Played at AA, 57 Games at AAA Charlotte. Jose Rodriguez (Age 22) - 2021 78 Games at A, 29 Games at A+, 6 Games at AA. 2022 104 Games at AA. This is not the proper way to manage a major league franchise.- 6/26 - White Sox recall OF Adam Haseley from Charlotte, option Jose Rodriguez to Birmingham
Adam can adequately play CF to rest Robert for a game or in a blowout, hope they rest Robert once on the road trip and once at home before the ASB, especially if he is attending the ASG. In other news, Tim Anderson has returned to Shortstop, batting 2nd tonight in Anaheim. Frazier is the right fielder. It appears the Eloy RF experiment may be over (last start Game One, June 8 in The Bronx), or at least until the next White Sox injury.- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
Don't think their talent level over the next 3 years will be better than today. This is White Sox Last Dance, sans the two three-peats. Also think July sell means salary relief over prospect acquisition. Couple Lucas with other contracts teams won't necessarily want (Grandal, Lynn, others) and have other teams eat some/most/all of the money. Would speculate that is Jerry's priority at the deadline if selling. Would say worse case scenario is Hahn pulling another Hahn and not offering Lucas a QO like he passed on Rodon to have money for Kimbrel/Pollock. I wouldn't put it past Rick/ Jerry to do it again.- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
Lone reason for slight optimism based on the upcoming two week schedule, and their series against the Yankees and Boston (4-2). Would say Pedro’s moves especially late game has improved in terms of utilizing the entire bench and knowing who he can trust in the bullpen and especially the 9th with Liam out again (Graveman and Middleton). People were saying Tony needed a full year plus to learn the roster that he had a large role in assembling. Would be fair to give Pedro through Memorial Day at minimum.- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
OK, he was born in Mokomis, not sure where his house was at birth. Detmers' family moved to Chatham, Illinois, after his mother started a new job and he transferred to Glenwood High School for his senior year. I was born in Park Ridge, but was brought home the following day to Chicago where I live to this day and likely my dying breath unless I'm on vacation.- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
I realize this is rhetorical, but I've been to at least five MLB stadiums worse than the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome Saint Petersburg Field Veterans Stadium (saw actual rats running around during my lone game there). Sky Dome - f*** domes. Joe Robbie Stadium - An absolute debacle for baseball.- Upcoming Week - Chance to get within 2-3 GB of the Twins
What really matters is what the players feel. They can come out of this series with confidence and keep building series wins and a solid stretch leading to the All Star Break. They need to keep winning through their toughest slate of the season, three each at Atlanta, New York Mets and Minnesota after the All Star Break. A sell off / White Flag 2.0 would crater long term fan support and any remaining cohesiveness in that clubhouse if they are in first or within a couple games of first, especially with their soft schedule the final several weeks of the season. "Keep Hope Alive" and "Don't Give Up, Don't Ever Give Up". Win it for and with Liam!- 6/25 Gamethread
Thanks, though I use fWAR for Fangraphs, since as it seems most here prefer. I do use bWAR / Baseball Reference at times, easier to navigate at times. Tommy Agee broke in with the White Sox, won Rookie of the Year and 8th in MVP voting his first season, an All Star both seasons. Tommy was traded before season three in one of the worst trades in White Sox history, and one of the best in Mets history. December 15, 1967: Traded by the Chicago White Sox with Al Weis to the New York Mets for Buddy Booker, Tommy Davis, Jack Fisher and Billy Wynne. 1969 Postseason Tommy Agee 36 PA; .896 OPS, 3 HRs, 5 RBIs; 3 SB Al Weis 16 PA, 1.196 OPS, HR & 3 RBIs- 6/25 Gamethread
