  1. Solid Double Play by Andrus and Anderson. #DefenseMatters
  2. Just like I don't question players' health based on how bad this organization has managed health issues, these decisions could be Pedro's or could very well be Hahn's, who likes to meddle in s%*# he had no clue with, including the Game 3 in Oakland debacle and throughout Ricky's tenure. Tony wasn't going to answer to someone as clueless as Hahn, and Jerry backed Tony. Hahn didn't like being cut out, and that is why Pedro is here and not someone with more stature who wouldn't put up with Hahn's clueless bullshit like Bruce Bochy, who the Sox weren't interested in after 2020 or 2022.
  3. Jerry and Eddie went down to the field and clubhouse in Detroit when they clinched in 2005. I shook Jerry's hand and congratulated him, but then felt like this afterward.
  4. No Liam, likely until July at the earliest was the final death nail to any hope at a .500 June through the hard part of the schedule. Don't think they have the balls for total mid-season tank trades (Benintendi, Burger, Cease, Crochet, Eloy, Kopech, Robert Jr.), but still could be looking at an 8/1 roster of: Catchers: Perez, Zavala; DH: Sheets vs. RH, resting player vs. LH. Infield: 1B Vaughn; 2B Gonzalez; SS Andrus; 3B Burger; Reserve: Sosa. Outfield: LF Benintendi; CF Robert Jr.; RF Jimenez; Reserves: Frazier; Hamilton. Rotation: Cease; Kopech; Scholtens. (Final Two Charlotte Guys, DFA pickups or garbage trade return players). Bullpen: Banks; Bummer; Crochet; Lambert; Lopez; Middleton; Padilla or Peralta; Santos. Traded and/or Season Ending IL: Anderson; Clevinger; Foster; Giolito; Grandal; Graveman; Hendriks; Kelly; Lynn; Martin; Moncada,
  5. Just looking over the lineup Watching the losses grow Thinkin' how it all looks hand-me-down.
  6. As with his previous IL stint, would be happy if he never pitched for the White Sox again. Do well Jesse!

  8. Actually, the White Sox have a more ingrained losing culture and worse winning percentage under the Hahn era the the Royals. The Royals won a World Series and two American League Pennants. They are terrible now because they are not spending any money ($92M), with no depth and veterans on their last deals, just like the Sox. Pedro is likely not the answer, but it’s not based on what team he came from. And the manager is not, and has not been the primary issue with the White Sox. The owner and front office do a poor job with every aspect of the organization (scouting beyond Paddy, player development, assessing internal and external player potential, drafting, injury management, pre game preparation, in game decision making, analytics, minor league philosophy, Jerry looking to scrimp and save at every turn, including never hiring an experienced professional for key roles unless they are no longer capable BFFs in their mid 70s, etc.).
  9. Just going off of data in terms of typical TJ recovery times and how the Sox do a poor job managing injuries and rehab: He is coming off of April 2022 Tommy John surgery. The Sox planned a half ass spring training / rehab assignment (6 IP, 5 ER decreased velocity) as they did for Liam (5 IP, 6 ER, decreased velocity). Have done the same with position players Yoan, Tim, Grandal, Robert, Eloy and others the past few seasons. He should be rehabbing in Charlotte or Arizona now, either stretching out to be a starter or working in relief, but the Sox have zero depth. Pitchers usually fully recover up to 18 months after Tommy John, so up to 5 months from now. Tommy John surgery is effective 80% of the time, so perhaps Garrett will be one of the 20% who do not improve / worsen post surgery.
  10. The White Sox have a 2.5% of making the playoffs per Baseball Prospectus, in the middle of Rick Hahn’s self-proclaimed multi-championship window. https://www.baseballprospectus.com/standings/ If their 76 win projection comes to fruition, Rick Hahn will have completed his 11th season with a single 82+ win ball club. Fire Rick Hahn.
  11. 2023 series wins against winning teams through mid-June: 2-1 vs. Minnesota 17-12 (May 2-4) 2-1 at New York A. L. 36-25 (June 6-8) Fire Rick Hahn!
  12. Why wasn't that overturned? Len said the ball definitely changed directions.
  13. Don't make a fucking effort Grandal. This is why the Dodgers got rid of your sorry ass behind the plate, and benched you in the playoffs.
  14. That strikeout looms large after that sac fly ball. Come on Grandal, make it happen!
  15. Grandal's catch sounded spectacular via Len's call. Hope to find it online.
  16. Agreed, though my post had to do with consistent failure late over the four years of the rule. Players unprepared the past three seasons for certain.
  17. Must be nice to have depth and pinch hit options late in a game.
  18. Just out managed. Strategy > Strategery
  19. They need like 12 quality players at this point. Nothing to salvage, let Colas spend a full year in AAA, bring him up if he begins to master the strike zone with consistent power.
