Is this the only thing Hahn said today? Are there any other quotes from the press conference not Jerry's paid guy? What is Tim's status? Why didn't you (Hahn) bring up a reliever on Friday, and Scholtens to start today? Where have all the Fegan's gone?

F Jerry and his mouthpiece. No quality FA will sign with your shitty organization unless you overpay or the player literally has zero other options. AJ Pollock took $8M guaranteed less to get the f*** out of here, getting $1M less overall after signing with Seattle. Adam LaRoche gave Jerry $12.5M just to get the f*** out of here. Marcus Stroman said he would never consider playing for you or your drunk fossil HOF manager. Same with the Bulls, no quality FA came here for decades while you were you and Gar/Pax where there unless they had zero alternatives. You bet your ass the same if not worse conditions where in the clubhouse under Tony, but Bob "DUI Jail is like a sick day at worK" "Tony should have two plaques in Cooperstown" Nightengale would never print a word of it because he is Jerry's b****, and that is all he will ever be.

Grifol: 'If you don't like the lineups, talk to Jerry.'
South Side Hit Men replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Burger is 27 and has only played 120 games. He still has a lot to learn, batting him lower takes some pressure off while he is adjusting to pitchers adjustments of nothing but down and away pitches he needs to lay off. I’d rather see him bat 6th or 7th based on the dearth of quality players, but that’s just quibbling. If the writer watched some of those terrible at bats Jake had flailing at balls far beyond the strike zone this weekend, he’d have the answer as to why Jake Burger is batting in the bottom third of the lineup. You had Robert, Eloy and others also with bad approaches, but they’ve been here for years and you can’t bat everyone in the 7-9 holes. -
He has a .320 OBP, one of the few Sox players who takes a good number of walks when pitchers aren’t throwing strikes. That’s good for 22nd among 1B, so bottom third, but he’s 25 and will likely settle into the 15th range in power and OBP over the next two years. Not sure he’ll improve defensively. Burger would be a better candidate based on body size if you gave him six months to work on it over the off-season.

Good, nobody respects that ass clown, and everyone knows he is a worthless errand boy with not a single talent that can help this or any organization. Would wager there were at least 30 players who wanted out when La Russa was here. This organization is the Chernobyl of MLB. Also, I could give zero fucks about this guy throwing a two day hissy fit and counting about Grifol’s answer. -

Most on SoxTalk celebrated when Ricky was fired, despite doing a solid job with 1 1/2 starting pitchers in Oakland. Ricky had his team hustling, cohesive, and playing hard through 9 innings. Ricky got the most out of most players, even guys like Leury and Engel. The games were fun to watch, the team was likable, the team liked each other, and there was reason for optimism that with a better rotation, solid corner OFers (1 or 2 LH with power, both with decent to solid defense), this team could legitimately contend. He deserved one more season, with a strong payroll (17th was his highest), some decent coaching additions and the significant money spent on FAs like they did for Tony. -
To Jerry, the White Sox did not exist until the 1983 Uniforms and Eddie Einhorn Hat. To jerry, Harold Baines is a Hall of Famer and Dick Allen is not.

This. A bullpen has to cover 600-700 innings in a year, depending on how decent your starters and defense are. The Sox have six at best ok to decent guys to give you 350, say Graveman gives you 60 and Hendriks returns to give you 35 after the ASB best case scenario. That's 445 innings and you have Crochet in the "Charlie Wild Card" Role, the P guys (Padilla and Peralta), at this point Scholtens and whatever else they scrape together the rest of the season. This is almost as bad as when they had two starters at the end of a 60 game season in 2020, Hahn blamed Ricky and fired him to CYA. This may be worse as hey have a Top 3 bullpen payroll, and they knew Liam had cancer in the Winter when they could have added depth to replace him, and they were very fortunate Middleton turned out great YTD. Logical Closer with Liam out (1): Graveman. Solid Bargain guys (3): Santos, Middleton and Banks. Decent setup or long guys pitched in the wrong roles (closers) (3): Joe Kelly (good 6th-8th, terrible in the 9th) and Lopez (should be a 2-3 inning longer reliever, or lower leverage), and Aaron Bummer who was terrible until two weeks ago, hopefully he can keep it going. Guys who shouldn't have even pitched here until fully ready and healthy (2): Crochet (should be in AAA to determine if he could become a starter) & Hendriks (Hurt before even his rehab began, poor velocity. The White Sox are the nut low at injury assessment and management. Guys already DFA'd (4): Hanser Alberto (Ha Ha), Alex Colome, Jake Diekman, Jose Ruiz.

Well, his current career comp is Josh Naylor, and his current through Age 24 comp is Travis Snyder, the latter because the White Sox are so F'd up, Andrew has nearly twice as many starts in the outfield as he does at 1B (191 vs. 103). https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/v/vaughan01.shtml He has three seasons to reach his peak. He looks like he's on pace to be a league average 1B in 2025/2026, not necessarily #3 overall pick worthy, but that is Hahn's fault, not Andrew's.

No, they are among the few legitimate ML players the Sox had in the Hahn era. Much of the 24 others have continuously sucked ass. Enjoy the .190 winning percentage without Tim, will be b**** slapped by the Royals and A's with Tim and Yoan gone. -

Does not compute. Winning percentage entering today is a 70 win pace. Sox are 31-41 games under coming into today. The Sox are 27-24 in games Tim has played. The Sox are 20-18 in games Yoan has played. People don't know WTF they are talking about. -

Needs 2-3 games off a month like all players, not 2-3 over 2 1/2 months.
