  1. Who did Melvin start yesterday? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2-rfCnW5VlE
  2. It’s one game, 2 runs are Tiny Tim’s, should be a 3-1 game. He needs to go a few more, Sox need to prove they can hit RHP. Afraid Tim motivated Bassitt here. Hoping Melvin goes with Manaea tomorrow, otherwise it could be difficult. Would be ready with primary relievers tomorrow to go 6-8 IP (Heuer, Crochet, Bummer, Marshall, Foster and Colome).
  3. The Sox could be up 4-0 and the ridiculous posts would outnumber sane ones 2 to 1, even with the two most prolific posters on ignore. Look at yesterday’s threads.
  4. What do you do with Grandal at that point? It’s his primary value, that and getting the games played adjustment at catcher for his fWAR, and getting walks.
  5. Bassitt came to pitch, looks as focused as Lucas yesterday, just with lesser stuff.
  6. Tomorrow is a bullpen day, if Keuchel gives up a few more, makes sense to use the bottom of the bullpen. Hope they can get five from him. Tomorrow can be 2 IP for Foster, Crotchet, Heuer and innings from Bummer, Marshall and Colome.
  7. One thing is certain, I hope Oakland goes with Manaea tomorrow.
  8. When were the Sox in the playoffs last year, and when did I mention KW?
  9. Playoff lineups, and bullpen availability, are determined by the general manager and manager, with consultation with Cooper. Every single game.
  10. So glad we have three competent outfielders today. Nice try by Anderson, hope Dallas can keep the ball lower and get more groundballs.
  11. Didn't return to Goose Island today, starting the game in the at home bunker, streaming online with mute of ESPN, listening to either DJ/AM on WGN or will listen to jazz or Cubs, depending on what's going on. Go White Sox!!!
  12. One thing the coaching staff should be held accountable, as opposed to 90% of noise here, is lack of awareness on the base paths, especially Madrigal and Jimenez. No lefty for Oakland today, still feel good with Keuchel on the mound and Tim hitting up ahead of Pito. Really happy with the OF alignment, hope it continues.
  13. Goose Island Fulton is showing the White Sox exclusively
  14. Normally I would rather give preference to OF defense in Oakland, but with Keuchel on the mound this should work. You can always sub him out late, and while he is not a GG, his defense is adequate. Hope Eloy returns as DH only, at least through this series.
  15. This. Was glad Rick stick with Giolito with a 4-0 lead, also liked when he stretched the starters in their last start despite pushback here. Usually pays off plus gives you more options the following day.
  16. I tempted fate and finished with a Cubby Blue at the Goose Island Brewpub. Good beer, don’t be fooled by the name.
  17. Congratulations Rick Renteria and team for your first of many Playoff wins!
  18. That is of primary importance at the catcher position. Would go with McCann for all Giolito and Dunning starts. I don’t thing Eloy “Electric Slide” returns until next series at the earliest.
