  1. Third straight great start, bullpen great except for the two mistakes, time to take advantage and go on a four game winning streak heading into the playoffs!
  2. Still like the Sox to win 2 or 3 against the final opponent, which managed 4 runs in 4 games against the worst team in baseball and fortunate to salvage one game against the Sox in August.
  3. Abreu and Yolmer will have to come through to win here, hope to see Engel come in next turn for Mazara. Leave Keuchel to hit at least 100 pitches / 7 innings tonight.
  4. Commenting on Ricky as well. Wonder the length of his contract signed this winter. Can't see him ever being truthful beyond Rick's level of the org chart. James McManus @jimbosweetness 13m @stevestone Just say it: #Renteria isn’t a good manager. You know it. We know you know it. It’s obvious. Truth is good. Steve Stone @stevestone Replying to @jimbosweetness My lips are sealed
  5. Wish several Sox could protect the plate like that. Glad they got out of it, but Keuchel already at 20 pitches inning. OK with a 120 pitch count again today, with extra rest coming.
  6. If he keeps eating his Flintstones, Nicky will one day be able to hit one that far.
  7. Would be if I made the card. Very Nice Yolmer!!!! Take that Yolmer Haters!!!
  8. Ross pulled Schwarber after a similar play on Sunday. Wouldn't mind seeing that here.
  9. I agree Spiders is a cool name, but naming your team after a star player was also bad ass (Cleveland Naps). Chicago Pito or Chicago La Pantera > Cleveland Naps or Cleveland Spiders
  10. Agreed, though I like WCIPAs (Pliny the Elder, Beachwood's Amalgamator and many others). I rarely seek NEIPAs unless they are balanced (M-43 is one example). I drink across most styles, but really need to bring home more Triples and Quads, among my personal favorites. Relatively new to craft by your standards. Tried Bourbon County a decade or so ago, but really didn't start drinking beer / craft beer until 2015. Was a whiskey/bourbon drinker for decades before hand, but now rarely touch it beyond an occasional share / clearing old bottles. Cheers and Go Sox!
  11. This is my point. If a regular appearance outing or two, and he does well in a role he has done but three times five years ago, and playoff appearances are limited to a 7-1 or 1-7 score, then it doesn’t matter. However, if the FO/RR determine on the basis, an outing, the shortest sample size possible, Rodon is a meaningful bullpen option the following week, that is ridiculous. Try to salvage yet another top draft pick next Spring. In the meantime, use a veteran pitching well (0.2 WAR, 3.20 ERA) over -0.2 9+ ERA no meaningful bullpen experience. It reeks of a necessary desperation.
  12. And Carson Fulmer was the genius pick the prior year. Fulmer has had the better season this year, 0.2 WAR vs. Rodon’s -0.3. Makes no sense to use him until next year, besides rehab. Of course if Rick Renteria uses him and he sucks, it will be the manager’s fault, because nothing is ever anyone else’s fault. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/fulmeca01.shtml
  13. Nothing to do with “feelings”. this is the throw shit on the wall and hope something sticks that Sox fans have come to expect since 1980.
  14. Wrong. What makes no sense is putting a pitcher hurt all season, who has three relief appearances five years ago as his lone bullpen experience, to shove him out there because Hahn did absolutely nothing at the trade deadline, on the most meaningful games since the 2000s.
  15. Have to disagree with you on the third option (Rodon), he has appeared twice this entire season, as a starter, and shown nothing. I don’t care how many times he struck out Nicky Delmonico in Schaumburg, he serves no purpose in the playoffs, in a relief role. If this is just to give him one or two regular season appearances, I’m fine with it. We all saw what happens the past two days when you put a pitcher in a role and situation he has never faced before in meaningful ballgames.
  16. Need to start Engel in RF with Robert out. Provides good at bats as well. Parrot I don't mind because he is one of the few players hustling and producing this series.
  17. Like the return of Bummer, but what the hell is Rodon going to provide at this point, beyond, blowing bubbles in the bullpen. He sucked ass his only two starts.
  18. Very nice, great brewery, La Fin du Monde one of my favorite beers. Had an anchor this morning, my second beer likely a Revolution pour later today.
  19. They have stated publicly for years (decades?) the family has no interest in controlling the White Sox once Jerry steps down or passes, beyond perhaps a small minority ownership. There will likely be a new ownership group for the White Sox, though some of the current minority owners may hang onto their shares. No transition plan has been made public.
  20. Runs to hug perennial scumbag Rick Pitino at the 1:28 mark. Hope Dallas Keuchel comes up as big in the playoffs as Dallas Comegys (24 second mark) did his two games to start the Tourney at the Rosemont Horizon. Worked all the games as an Andy Frain, helped sneak a few friends in for the second game. OG One Shining Moment, Robert Montgomery Knight vs. Jim Boeheim for the title.
  21. 2021 Free Agent Andrelton Simmons called it a season with five games to go, surprising Joe Maddon. https://www.ocregister.com/2020/09/22/angels-surprised-as-andrelton-simmons-opts-out-of-playing-rest-of-season/ The news came as a surprise within the organization. No player or coach on any team had opted out of the season since Cardinals coach Willie McGee on Aug. 14. The last player to opt out was Mets pitcher Marcus Stroman on Aug. 10. “Driving home last night, Billy (Eppler, the Angels’ general manager) called me, wanted to make sure I was holding onto the wheel properly, and told me the news,” Manager Joe Maddon said during his pregame Zoom session with reporters Tuesday. Wonder if anyone will bail during the MLB postseason. Boston's starting goalie did in the bubble, though he was facing a much longer stretch in the bubble without family.
