  1. Leury is not enough of a better outfielder to take Sheets bat out in a one run game. If Helseley would have come in, it was more justifiable to have a real outfielder out there. Leury is not an outfielder and his hitting sucks.
  2. Fire Tony. We ended up with Leury being our last hitter in the 9 th. In a one run game instead of Sheets. Leury being in as a defensive replacement for Sheets in right field. His defense is not much better than Sheets and cannot take power hitter out of the lineup on a one run game. Fire Tony. Enough is enough. The team is collapsing and needs an urgent radical change.
  3. And Leury will come to bat in the 9 th in a one run game instead of home run hitter Sheets. Can’t stand TLR unforced errors anymore. He is so bad that is risible.
  4. We have misallocated our resources on scrubs like Leury and Big Energy and let guys like Tepera walk.
  5. TLR had to make sure he kept the streak of inexplicable bad moves in every game. Taking out one of the few home run hitters for Leury in a one run game is malpractice.
  6. Big energy did not help with getting the ball kicked out of his glove. Regardless it did not matter either way.
  7. Outfield positioning has not been good. Robert also not helped by not having good corner outfielders. Our OF defense has to be one of the worse in the majors.
  8. Wish we had Mullins in CF. Leury playing right field didn’t help. Why wasn’t Helseley in RF? Leury is not much better than Sheets defensively and worse offensively.
  9. Dreaded lead off walk. Jinxed by Jason bringing up just before that ReyLo had 17 strike outs and no walks in his last appearances.
  10. I would have liked to have seen a hit and run play with Big Energy at first to take us out of DP situation.
  11. And on top of that with no outs. He was already in run scoring position. Stupid play by Zavala. Rally killer.
  12. And Vaughn could not make contact, move the runner over, and swung for the fences with 2 strikes when we just need him to make contact to the right half of the infield. Abreu did not deliver either. We suck particularly with RISP.
  13. The score going to the fourth inning is Sheets 2 Sox 0. It could have been worse. Double play helped big time in the 3rd. Keep the faith.
  14. Can Hahn explain how the Braves acquired three competent outfielders at the trade deadline last year, and the Soxacquired none and were stuck with the likes of Goodwin and this season with Sheets.
  15. Sheets thought he had it and was looking into his glove and took him a few seconds to realize he had dropped the ball.
  16. Bad outfield defense by Sheets opened the floodgates and cost us 2 runs. Both Burger and Sheets are big defensive liabilities. Thanks to Hahn for not bringing in a good LH right fielder last year or before this season.
