Couldn’t say it better myself. Kopech and Hendriks are our two shutdown relievers. We had to bring in our best weapons when we were up 4-2. If we lose game 2, we have to win 3 in a row which will be very difficult to achieve. You don’t hold back any weapon for later games. Unless the Sox win three in a row, TLR should retire. He was a key piece in not going hard for HFA which looks like will doom us. I may turn out that all the resting that was done may be for just 3 games in the post season. Pathetic.

TLR brought Crochet in instead after throwing 26 pitches the day before, and having to face at least 3 hitters due to new rules, including righty Gurriel who drove in 2. TLR moved Leury, a terrible outfield defender, to RF taking Engel out late in a tied game. Please explain why are we wrong on TLR moves this game. In my view TLR cost us this game. Hey guys, Eloy didn’t lose us the game today. We have bigger issues such as TLR mismanaging the bullpen and leaving Giolito in too long, bringing in Crochet, and not bringing in Kopech who is a shut down pitcher. Leury in RF and all those walks also hurt us.

We needed to win 2nd game today. We needed to play like it was a game 5, and bring out our best weapons, and that is Kopech. Now we will need to win 3 games in a row including a game 5 at Houston. All those punted games and over resting our stars would be a horrible strategy if we only play 3 games.

It’s ludicrous to say that a Vaughn/Sheet could replace Abreu. Isn’t Vaughn hitting like 8 for 70 in his last games.

We needed a dominating performance to keep our momentum after going up 4-2. A dominating pitcher like Kopech can blow away lefties and righties. Lucas should have been pulled out and replaced by Kopech. In the playoffs you need to play to win one game at a time do not save our best weapons.
