ALDS Game 3 - HOU @ CWS - 7:07pm CDT
Right on. It is also important to point out that with the new rules, tired Crochet had to face at least 3 batters, including the righty Gurriel, the AL batting champ who ended up tying the game. You needed to come in with a fresh pitcher with dominating stuff like Kopech to protect that lead. TLR made another terrible move, one of many this season. No sense of urgency

Couldn’t say it better myself. Kopech and Hendriks are our two shutdown relievers. We had to bring in our best weapons when we were up 4-2. If we lose game 2, we have to win 3 in a row which will be very difficult to achieve. You don’t hold back any weapon for later games. Unless the Sox win three in a row, TLR should retire. He was a key piece in not going hard for HFA which looks like will doom us. I may turn out that all the resting that was done may be for just 3 games in the post season. Pathetic.

I don’t know if you are being sarcastic but don’t hold your breath anyway.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Proof is in the pudding. We are not haters, our criticism of TLR is based on facts and results.. Giolito was left too long by TLR. TLRdid not bring in Kopech with a 2 run lead. TLR brought Crochet in instead after throwing 26 pitches the day before, and having to face at least 3 hitters due to new rules, including righty Gurriel who drove in 2. TLR moved Leury, a terrible outfield defender, to RF taking Engel out late in a tied game. Please explain why are we wrong on TLR moves this game. In my view TLR cost us this game. His moves did not work out.

By private sector I meant a publicly held company. My bad. Sox are a family business run by JR who does not respond to Wall Street or many shareholders. But is also in the private sector, you are right.

Good point. However, TLR in game decisions hurt the team more than Hahn sitting on a desk.

Sox managers during this period such as Ventura, Ricky and TLR were nothing to write home about either.

Maybe TLR needed some rest so he figured the other guys needed it too. Those guys are paid millions to be on the field, not grabbing some bench.

It is an even worse decision with having to face three batters, which included right handed hitter Gurriel, the AL batting champ. In the old days Crochet could have only faced one batter which would have minimized the damage. Couldn’t any of the other coaches on the bench mentioned to TLR that bringing in Crochet was a mistake?

You are absolutely right. There may not even be a game 4. We may not even see our second most dominating pitcher, Kopech, in the series at all. That’s TLR incompetence for you. I would have liked to see Kopech pitching in Houston. He is from Texas.

Agree. Is managerial malpractice byTLR.

Red Sox took out Chris Sale after one innning. We should have taken Gio out after 3 innings. Red Sox had a sense of urgency that TLR has lacked.

Hey guys, Eloy didn’t lose us the game today. We have bigger issues such as TLR mismanaging the bullpen and leaving Giolito in too long, bringing in Crochet, and not bringing in Kopech who is a shut down pitcher. Leury in RF and all those walks also hurt us.

Doesn’t any of the Sox coaching staff has the balls to question TLR bad decisions or give him good advise?

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Who will be made accountable for that terrible decision making? Hahn, KW, TLR, JR Or a combination thereof? It is competing with the Bears Trubitsky deal..

7-9 hitters are a big weakness.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Too many walks hurt Giolito today.

As we cannot get rid of the whole team, TLR needs to go. The buck stops with him, and he must be held accountable for totally mismanaging all the resources and weapons provided. In a normal private sector business,he would have been let go already.

With a good RF acquired at deadline, we would have probably won the HFA.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
And taking Engel out late at RF today to replace with Leury late cost us.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
We needed to win 2nd game today. We needed to play like it was a game 5, and bring out our best weapons, and that is Kopech. Now we will need to win 3 games in a row including a game 5 at Houston. All those punted games and over resting our stars would be a horrible strategy if we only play 3 games.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
It’s ludicrous to say that a Vaughn/Sheet could replace Abreu. Isn’t Vaughn hitting like 8 for 70 in his last games.
-
ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
Right on. We needed Kopech for us to win this game. It’s getting harder and harder to continue blanket support of TLR.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
I hate to say it but TLR has not been better than Ricky.

ALDS Game 2 - Chicago @ Houston - 1:07pm CDT
We needed a dominating performance to keep our momentum after going up 4-2. A dominating pitcher like Kopech can blow away lefties and righties. Lucas should have been pulled out and replaced by Kopech. In the playoffs you need to play to win one game at a time do not save our best weapons.
