It is hard already to win this game with the mostly Charlotte Knights position players lineup, but you throw in Wright in a scoreless tie you are punting big time.

We should still try to catch Astros for HFA until we are mathematically eliminated.

I am glad he did then. We normally win when we hit homers.

Benetti has a good announcer voice. Compare his voice with Beckham and you’ll feel better. Agree, there will not be another Hawk and his Hawkerisms. Benetti will never say things like grab some bench, can of corn, you can put it on the board yes, etc.

Bad control. Kimbrel has been plagued by walks, hit by pitches and wild pitches. Not a good portend for a setup/closer.

Still, a hit by a pitch and two walks is not a good performance for a next to last inning relief with a 5 run lead. The stupid steal attempt helped Kimbrel out.

Gordo had a major brain fart. Thought he was on the football field. Hawk had a cardiac event. Wonder if this incident was talked about during any of Gordo’s recent appearances in Sox TV broadcasts.

Tigers were hungrier than the Sox in this game. TLR punted bringing in Fry for a second inning in a close game late. He did not utilize our bullpen well. No sense of urgency or killer instinct.

He should not have been hitting 5 th today.

TLR never pinch hits our big guns late when they are resting sitting on the bench.

That was the play against all those righties, and they could have brought Bummer later. Hendriks does not need the finish the game himself.

Hendriks is in, and they leave Fry in for 2 innings in a close game. Those 2 last Cleveland’s runs with 2 outs again were a killer. Our vaulted bullpen is getting scored with 2 outs quite often.

Problem for Cleveland is that we have at least three stoppers ready to rumble.

Whoever said TLR is a sure Manager of the Year winner this season is in an alternate universe.

You are right. Why put all those resources in the bullpen, when we can’t score enough runs. Trade deadline acquisitions did not add runs to our lineup.

Hinch and/ or Cora, with all their faults, would have looked mighty good in a Sox uniform this season, and our record would have been better for sure.
