TLR had no sense of urgency or killer instinct to go for HFA. Many games when we were down 1 in the 9th he never pinched hit with one of our “resting” stars and let scrubs like Mendick hit. TLR overdid the resting mode and also shut down any running game. His bullpen management left a lot to be desired.

Not with Crochet on the mound, not looking at the runners.

Wish we did not giveaway several games in the 10 th inning with Hendriks running, bad bullpen management, failure to move runners over to third,lack of clutch hitting, etc, we will end so close to HFA....

So happy that I don’t have to worry anymore about Mike Wright coming in relief.

I am glad he has/was finally unleashed. Sox are finally playing playoff baseball. Wished they would have started playing this way earlier to go for HFA. But it is what it is.

Seems to me that Sheets is a more dangerous hitter than Leury. Sheets has been hitting the long ball lately as well. He would have come up with the bases loaded and with 2 on base second time around. One swing of the bat and Sox get 4 runs and/or 3 runs.

Why is Leury hitting ahead of Sheets? Leury has left 5 on base as well.

In my view, it does not matter either way. Goodwin should not be in our team in 2022. He should be upgraded. He is not a major league outfielder.

We punted too many games. I think we over did the resting. The HFA is big for the Sox with the best home record in the AL and a very mediocre away record.

Vaughn and Sheets should be alternated as DH with righty and lefty pitching respectively. Engel should be in RF. We can’t afford mediocre/bad RF defense in a 5 game playoff series. That means no Goodwin, no Sheets and no Vaughn in RF.
