  1. Don’t forget Boston Red Sox is a big national brand, so we can’t assume that the Sox game will have preference on TV. These schedules are dictated by the TV stations.
  2. This is another reason why we needed to win HFA. If first game would have been at GRF we would be a heavy favorite not a heavy underdog in Houston. What good would resting our stars and punting so many games be, if we do not go beyond five games. What good was to overpay for Kimbrel if we don’t go beyond the Houston series. This why the HFA should have been an integral part of our strategy.
  3. Congrats to the Sox on their successful season. Wanted to give my grades on the Sox season. - Offense At full strength. A-. Weak links: Cesar, AV, Goodwin, Billy, Collins - Defense. C. Weak links at LF, RF and C. - Starting pitchers A. (A+ without Keuchel). - Relievers. A-. (A without Wright, Foster, Ruiz) - Manager/coaches. C. Many inexplicable decisions and too many punted games. - season success. A Overall grade. A-
  4. Good point. Cesar has shown warning track power. That is HR territory at Houston LF.
  5. Leury doing his best Goodwin impersonation on the outfield.
  6. Big time. He was the recipient of the Mike Wright Memorial Award.
  7. Dallas in the rotation this season probably cost us HFA. He was awful.
  8. Sox at full strength is an exciting, more dynamic team. Without the injuries, Sox could have had the best record in the AL.
  9. He put two on but got out Altuve and Brantley who both pinched hit,, contrary to the Sox who never pinched hit with our resting stars.
  10. Best home record in the AL by far and we kept punting games.
  11. Great game for the Sox tonight. They are running on all cylinders. Showed what they can do with the roster at full strength. Don’t stop now boys.
  12. Jason Castro a .213 hitting catcher hit a 3 run homer for the Astros in the dreaded 8 th inning.
  13. He already pitched tonight for Detroit. Changed his name to Brian Garcia.
  14. Brian Garcia is theTigers version of Mike Wright.
  15. I didn’t mean to derail the thread to soccer. My point is that we have our own CR7 star in TA7.
  16. CR7 is still the best and highest scoring soccer player in the world. Who is better? Regardless, TA7 is another star using the same number. On TLR, will need to agree to disagree on some of the takes. If we go beyond the first series I will gladly eat some crow with the TLR takes.
  17. Is Bummer not available?
  18. TA7 4 hits doing his best CR7 4 goal games imitation.. (Cristiano Ronaldo best soccer player in the world better known as CR7).
  19. TLR had no sense of urgency or killer instinct to go for HFA. Many games when we were down 1 in the 9th he never pinched hit with one of our “resting” stars and let scrubs like Mendick hit. TLR overdid the resting mode and also shut down any running game. His bullpen management left a lot to be desired.
  20. Not with Crochet on the mound, not looking at the runners.
  21. Wish we did not giveaway several games in the 10 th inning with Hendriks running, bad bullpen management, failure to move runners over to third, lack of clutch hitting, etc, we will end so close to HFA....
  22. So happy that I don’t have to worry anymore about Mike Wright coming in relief.
  23. I am glad he has/was finally unleashed. Sox are finally playing playoff baseball. Wished they would have started playing this way earlier to go for HFA. But it is what it is.
