I don’t think this Cubs team would be competitive in AAA ball now. It is not a major league quality team.

I would say it is now the most dangerous lineup in the majors. Anybody can hit a home run at any time. There are no Goodwin, Lamb, Mendick, Seby or Collins weak spots to kill rallies. You can’t get an 8 run inning like tonight with those backups on the lineup. You combine this lineup with our starters sans Keuchel, you are very hard to beat.

No Goodwin, Mendick, Seby, Collins or Lamb in the lineup helps along with none of our stars resting tonight. Only lineup issue was starting Keuchel

He is not going to do that. He is a Cy Young Award winner who thinks he is still a Cy Young award winner type performer.

Soxtalk tends to be on the pessimistic side, after so many years of frustration and disappointments. But with the full lineup back, except Engel, the needle will start moving towards the optimistic side now.
