Jays wanted to give Andrew a walk,but he would not take it. He has been a double play machine. He has not been hitting with men on base. I would have run with Robert on the 3-2 count. TLR just sitting back waiting for a 2 run homer, and not putting runners in play and not moving the Jays infield defense around. . It is not happening.

The 8 th inning killed the Sox once again. The Kimbrel/Hendriks Killer endings have not panned out so far. Didn’t like Bummer coming in the 8 th with all those righties coming in. But What were the options. Why do we have Wright and Burr for?.. One of them should have pitched the 7 th and keep Tepera for the 8 th.

Sliders destroyed most of the Sox tonight. Need to better identify it and lay off , can’t hit them anyway.

Wish that our guys learn to not swing at the low slider , 14Ks. We can’t hit anyway.

Like this lineup. Our biggest weakness would be Zabala D. Needs to cut on his passed balls. Need to hit and run whenever possible to stay away from the double play.

Agree. DK can get away with the occasional gopher ball as a starter, but as a reliever in generally deadlier.

All our heavy artillery was in the front lines of the lineup, the back of the line up was shooting BB guns and rubber bullets. Hope that Joe is getting advised not to be too aggressive sending guys home, particularly with less than two outs, and slow runners like Vaughn and Collins.

Main concern with Keuchel is the gopher ball when he is wild in the zone, contrary to Bummer who is all over the place and does not give up many homers.

Sox took only 2 walks.. 18 hits with a bunch of walks get you a bunch of runs but not many with just 2 walks.. We also got thrown out in the bases I believe three times. We failed to hit and run and played station to station, waiting for a homer. One homer did come from Abreu that produced three runs. When we hit homers we normally win. When we play station to station and hit into several double plays and not hit homers, we normally lose.

We dodged another bullet. We are the new Cardiac Sox. Glad that it was the bottom of the Jays lineup in the 9 th.

TLR over managing in the 8 th again. Let Kopech try to finish the inning, same as not letting Kimbrel finish the 8 th the other night.

Gordon mentioned again that Kopech should have been left to finish the 8 th. In hindsight, that could have been a better choice

Collins has been good defensively tonight. Seby would have had several passed balls tonight already.

Only Kirk can get a 400 ft one base bit. The man is a tank.
