  1. It would have been easier to win the game last night. First and third and no one out in the 10th and zilch. Hope we can win today and not waste Lynn’seffort.
  2. He just wants to convert himself into a slugger overnight, but he is just a slap hitter.
  3. Looks like he has sore knees.
  4. Was having an enjoyable game, without Beckham, Goodwin or Mendick, until they got to Sox Math which is quite tedious.
  5. We always seem to hit the fly balls when there is no one at 3 rd with less than 2 outs.
  6. Seby brain fart. That was going foul. Cant get Iglesias out at first anyway. Fortunately, only cost a handful of pitches more for Lynn.
  7. Particularly with a righty on the mound.
  8. Particularly with Grandal on deck, he should be getting something to hit in the sequence. He is the most protected guy in the lineup.
  9. Another DP. I guess it comes with the territory, when you are a ground ball hitting team.
  10. Abreu hitting an around the horn double play.
  11. You are right. Too impatient.
  12. The problem is that he is not getting it up in the air. He is also another great DP candidate.
  13. You could be right. Will find out for sure in the games ahead. Hope you are right.
  14. Great hustle by Yoan to make it to second. Takes the DP out of the equation from Abreu (but not the K).
  15. After last night’s painful loss, TLR figured that he needed to come back strong today. Couldn’t take another bad loss with big crowd on hand, and get into a losing streak. If we would have won yesterday, we probably would have seen the dreaded Sunday lineup instead.
  16. Like this lineup. NoGoodwin or Mendick. Grandal DH. Thanks to TLR for not penciling our usual Sunday lineup.
  17. They were all swinging for the fences, when what we needed was contact. This lack of contact is an area where we will miss Madrigal most next season.
  18. And leaving our worst defender Goodwin in the game late instead.
  19. How many games has TLR cost us this season with his bad moves? I venture to say quite a few.
  20. You are right on. We never try to steal or hit and run, and just watch hitting one double play after another, and not adjust.
  21. Another inexplicable TLR move. Preferring Mendick to Vaughn in that situation is not wise.
  22. I don’t understand most of TLR moves. He has been a terrible manager. Hope he retires after this season. Mendick pinch hitting and then leaving Goodwin in against the lefty. I would have taken my chances with Sheets and Vaughn. Mendick as a pinch hitter in that situation is unacceptable. Would have brought Crochet in the top of 10 th. I am so frustrated that in practically every game, a TLR move has to be questioned. His station to station style, never putting a runner in play, is not working.
  23. Mendick pinch hitting?
  24. Right on. But it would never happen with TLR. He hardly ever puts runners in play. He is the quintessential station to station manager. Not good in one run games.
