  1. This has been Cesar’s best game with the Sox so far. He did need that day off. Maybe that $6M option is not looking that bad now.
  2. And we should not see Bummer again in the 8 th this season.
  3. Eloy needed to say hello to his Mom on TV.
  4. Tepera and Crochet have been our best relievers the past week.
  5. Tonight Bacon and Sox math at the same time was hard to take. Gordo also gave us the news that his grandfather went to Georgia Tech, and his father played football at South Carolina. Very important points for the game tonight in Toronto.
  6. Observations from game tonight.: Cesar Hernandez looked good tonight. Looks like that day off did him some good. Hope Engel gets back soon. Would like a permanent day off for Goodwin. His OF defense has been atrocious. He has been badly exposed. Leury had a good game also. Better than Mendick or Lamb. When we hit homers we normally win. We survived the 8 th.inning today.
  7. Someone must have passed this info to TLR tonight. Glad Bummer is grabbing some bench tonight.
  8. Don’t understand your point. Robert runs , Vaungh ground ball may not have been a double play, and it was a 3-2 count. A lot of runners go on 3-2 counts.
  9. Should have brought Kopech in the 8 th. Tony does not like to bring our top relievers unless we are winning.
  10. Romano is not too bad, he is at 100 most of the time.
  11. What else do you expect. TLR did not help Vaughn by not sending Robert on a 3-2 count to Vaughn.
  12. It seems it’s either strike out or double play quite often.
  13. Cívale and Bieber are scheduled to come back Sept. 1, so let’s not get too confident. Need to get back to winning baseball. Let’s manage the bullpen better, control the 8 th that it’s been killing us.
  14. Jays wanted to give Andrew a walk, but he would not take it. He has been a double play machine. He has not been hitting with men on base. I would have run with Robert on the 3-2 count. TLR just sitting back waiting for a 2 run homer, and not putting runners in play and not moving the Jays infield defense around. . It is not happening.
  15. The 8 th inning killed the Sox once again. The Kimbrel/Hendriks Killer endings have not panned out so far. Didn’t like Bummer coming in the 8 th with all those righties coming in. But What were the options. Why do we have Wright and Burr for?.. One of them should have pitched the 7 th and keep Tepera for the 8 th.
  16. Sliders destroyed most of the Sox tonight. Need to better identify it and lay off , can’t hit them anyway.
  17. Wish that our guys learn to not swing at the low slider , 14Ks. We can’t hit anyway.
  18. I don’t think they can be much worse than Goodwin, Mendick, Collins and Lamb.
  19. Like this lineup. Our biggest weakness would be Zabala D. Needs to cut on his passed balls. Need to hit and run whenever possible to stay away from the double play.
  20. Agree. DK can get away with the occasional gopher ball as a starter, but as a reliever in generally deadlier.
  21. All our heavy artillery was in the front lines of the lineup, the back of the line up was shooting BB guns and rubber bullets. Hope that Joe is getting advised not to be too aggressive sending guys home, particularly with less than two outs, and slow runners like Vaughn and Collins.
  22. Main concern with Keuchel is the gopher ball when he is wild in the zone, contrary to Bummer who is all over the place and does not give up many homers.
