More likely the “triple” missed by Goodwin is the one that could bite us.

His mind has not been in this game. Getting picked off at 2 nd base hurt big time. As well.

Defense is paramount late in a one run game. We already have enough pop in the game.

The backup plan is to take Goodwin out of the game. Bring Vaughn or Leury to RF. Goodwin cannot be defensively in a one run game in the 8 th. He is one of the worse outfielders even for AAA.

Our defense has been horrible in the 8 th. Goodwin opened the gates again and Cesar not turning the DP is keeping the inning alive.

Red Sox announcers roasting Goodwin for his terrible defense. Got a terrible jump and then was jogging. Why isn’t Billy playing in right field? Goodwin horrible defense outweighs any offense he provides. Another TLR bad decision.

He is worse than Sheets.

He should not play OF. Relegate him to pinch hitting or DH,but never on defense. He gets exposed every single time.

Hope Boston does not hit many balls to our corner outfielders tonight. Hopefully we get Engel back soon , and we can relegate Goodwin to DH and pinch hitting roles against righties, and not see him in the outfield again this season.

Preferably Engel if he is available. We need to have better defense in the outfield. Goodwin has been exposed too many times as a horrible OF. He should be relegated to occasional DH and pinch hitter against righties, but please keep him out of the outfield.
