In late innings in a close game, we need to have our best defense in OF. Hamilton to CF and Engel to right. Our outfield defense has been horrible tonight.

Lucas is sweating big time. It is 97 degrees with 107 degrees heat index. It is brutal out there.

Eloy would have been back on the IR on the Benintendi drive.

Can he throw runners out.? He looks exponentially better defensively than Collins.

On top of that, Leury not only got a hit but scored on a very good base running play.

Zavala is a better defensive catcher and better framer than Collins so this should help Gio. They just have to make sure they are in sync on pitch selections.

Best news is that Goodwin and his terrible CF defense and crappy hitting lately is not in the lineup tonight!

It was satisfying to see the opposing manager doing a worse job than TLR (sticking with Goodwin again) tonight, not challenging two possible outs and intentionally walking Abreu ahead of Eloy’s Moonshot.

He hit 20 homers at Charlotte in 2019.... maybe he bottled some of that.
