  1. Sheets at bat was awful. Swung at 2 balls over his head and then took a third strike that had all the zone. Moncada also took a 3rd strike with the bases loaded. Hamilton swung at a ball over his head to KO as well. That is why I was not too thrilled to see Madrigal go. We need more guys that put the ball in play.
  2. Keystone Cop defense by the Indians in the 8th. Looks like a team that has thrown in the towel and Franconia is out for the season as well. Minnesota traded Berrios and KC traded Soler, so our Division opponents are making it easier for theSox.
  3. Cubs type crowd of 36,000 at GRF tonight. Another sign of power shift to the South Side.
  4. A pleasant surprise. Admit wasn’t too thrilled seeing Ruiz come in the 8th in a tied game, after all this talk of our “Nasty Boys” type bullpen now.
  5. 9 left on base thru 6 may comeback to haunt the Sox. Sheets out at the plate hurt.
  6. It is inmaterial as Burr has sucked lately and was unlikely to come in the game tonight.
  7. Burr had lost 2 games in extras, which doomed him.
  8. Shouldn’t the Sox review our strength and conditioning programs with emphasis on pre game stretching? We have too many injuries as a whole.
  9. But 1-3 have more upside potential than 7-9.
  10. And also Goodwin. TLR loves lefty righty matchups regardless of player quality.
  11. Our 7-9 again are brutal.
  12. Cubs were dismantled and downgraded to a AAA team today. Sad for a major market. All their current major stars are gone, on top of Darvish, Schwarber,Caratini at the beginning of the season. If I were a Cub fan, I would not be happy as they had a core group that could have contended, if the Cubs would have kept Darvish and invested in quality starting pitching. Their starters this season were pretty bad. All excitement in Chicago now belongs to the Sox. Let’s take advantage and take over Chicago baseball. Sox reign!
  13. I will miss Madrigal , he was one of the few Sox that put the ball in play and didn’t strike out much. We have lost quite a few games this season failing to move runners to third or striking out with men on third and less than 2 outs.
  14. I see Kimbrel as a nice to have, a luxury, but not essential with Tepera, Kopech and Hendriks on board. Certainly not give up Madrigal. Would have rather spent the money on a slugging outfielder. We need more home runs on our homer friendly park. We are 25th in the majors in homers.
  15. Agree. Tepera shoud now be our 7 th inning guy.
  16. Our defense has not been good either. Now we also get Tepera who is an upgrade in relief over Ruiz, Burr...
  17. Hey, Eaton is not in the team anymore.
  18. Good. We need more guys hitting more balls in the air. More big flys and less hitting into the dreaded double plays.
  19. Are Leury and Mendick hitting 18 homers? Have Leury and Mendick ever won a Gold Glove?
  20. Can’t be worse that Leury or Mendick with that GG.
  21. I don’t think anyone is surrendering with the way the Sox have been playing lately.
  22. Minor upgrade to whom? Think is a major upgrade. He did win the GG.
  23. Does Hernández take walks? Important for lead off and lacking with TA.
  24. Looks like a good deal. Gold Glove winner, switch hitter with 18 homers this season so far. A big upgrade over Leury and Mendick. Gave up a AA pitcher.
