  1. Cease should have been more upset for the 4 pitch walk to the 9 th batter with 2 outs turning over the lineup to Altuve.
  2. Better chance to get the slow Maldonado at second. Leury screwed up. Cease also should not have walked Maldonado the 9th hitter on 4 pitches with 2 outs.
  3. That is Guaranteed Rain Field for you.
  4. Similar to Mercedes?
  5. Never heard of this guy before.
  6. Power came back on the last game before All Star break, with the two big three run homers by Vaughn and Engel. Those 3 run bombs make winning more likely. Keep the power going.
  7. If the purpose of the 10 th inning rule was to shorten the game and save bullpen arms, it has been a success as most extra inning games have been decided in the 10th inning. It tends to benefit the weaker teams which would have been hard pressed to get a man on second with no outs, and also benefits teams lacking a strong, deep bullpen. Have no problem with starting the rule in the 12 th rather than the 10 th. To balance things out and prevent marathon games.
  8. Ruiz should have been our last option. He is not good in pressure situations/closer. Remember the As playoff game last season asamajor example.
  9. Should have brought the lefty Fry to pitch to the lefty Stewart. Stewart was 5ft away from a walkoff. Dodged another bullet.
  10. Or even Rodon who has brought immense value at a moderate cost.
  11. He was also a football star in high school. He is a several tool player!
  12. Maybe you are too close to Baltimore. MLB is showing the game on MASN Baltimore Orioles broadcast.
  13. Isn’t he supposed to be a “crafty lefty”? They are supposed to have long careers.....
  14. Why is Collins not starting against the righty? Zavala can’t hit.
  15. Maybe being a Hall of Farmer arguing with umps is beneath him.
  16. But not worse than running Hendriks unnecessarily in extras for not knowing the rules
  17. Very good observations. TLR gives us both good and bad outcomes, have to hope that the good happens more often than the bad.
  18. It’s hard to shut Rodon down now with Cease, Giolito and Keuchel struggling. Maybe take him out earlier in games ,cutdown on those 100 + pitch games.
  19. I think the awful Rentería decisions, particularly with the pitchers, in game 3 with the A’s sealed his fate and cost him his job. If Sox would have won the A’s series, Rentería would probably still be managing the Sox. He was better than Ventura at least.
  20. Eloy is coming back for sure. He is in rehab assignment already.
  21. The old Kansas City special. Hawk would not have been happy.
  22. Billy Hamilton looks like he can play cricket as well with hit in the 8th off of a ball bouncing before the wicket, er the plate. He has been amazing.
  23. Winning is a cure all.
  24. Zavala looked good behind the plate. Framed the pitches better than Collins. Engel also looked very good.
  25. White Sox are lucky they are in the worst division in baseball, unlike the Blackhawks who were in the best division in the NHL and had no chance.
