Depends on the players involved. If your player at first has good speed and the player at the plate makes good contact and hits lot of ground balls, and you want to stay away from the double play, it is a good move. Like with Anderson and Madrigal.

He can’t hit a fastball today. When our big boppers in the middle of the lineup don’t hit, we are in trouble. Would like Mercedes to pinch hit today certainly for Collins who has been an awful hitter.

If you have a good bunter and you bunt to the left side like to 3rd base, if not you strike out or get a force at 3 rd and you are back to where you were with one more out. TLR is too stubborn in his cookie cutter 1990sways.

Benetti and Stoney couldn’t believe we were bunting. Stoney said if they were going to bunt it had to be to third not to first. TLR also doubled down on the bunt with 2 batters in a row. Agree. TLR likes to keep Hendricks for a ghost 10th inning and we have gotten walked off in the 9th a few times with other than Hendricks on the bump.

The problem was not taking Keuchel out, but putting the game in the hand of Marshall who stunk. Doesn’t have the fastball to challenge hitters down the middle and got tagged with 2 homers.

I don’t think extra innings will be eliminated. Walk offs are an exciting part of the game. Besides is just an integral part of baseball tradition.

The big mistake was pitching to Jose Ramirez with first base open, and throw him a cookie on 3-1 for a 2 run homer. 3rd game in past 2 years that Ramirez breat us with a late homer. Time to learn the lesson and don’t let Jose Ramirez beat us again. Pitch around the guy.
