I agree with Chicago guy Wilbon. Francona is an excellent manager and TLR has been an unmitigated disaster.

We let the game get away leaving Cueto in too long. as A’s are a crappy hitting team and they could only beat us with Cueto throwing one meatball after another.

Still it was an unforced error leaving Cueto in so long. He pitched to 9 hitters and allowed 6 runs. Cairo forgot we are in a pennant race.

But Cueto was done. Anyone in the bullpen would have been better. Should have someone warming up earlier.

Agree. I recall a stat given in one of the earlier TV broadcasts that TLR had 123 different lineups in the first 124 games this season.

Should Cairo consider hitting Eloy ahead of Abreu. Eloy has been more clutch!

We have a few of those including Abreu who has also been a double play machine. Abreu has been hitting much better with no one on base. He is too impatient with me on, not working the count or waiting for a good pitch to hit. IMO.
