  1. This has been the story all season, we screw around all game cannot get any runs against mediocre pitchers and get a couple runs behind late and then need to face the best closers.
  2. Ha Ha. The high deep wall just took away the second homer of the game. Both doubles by Robert and Seby would have been a homer in any other park…
  3. Well he may have as well left Diekmann in to pitch to Mateo with two lefties coming next, instead of bringing in Lambert to throw a high hanging slider cookie and the run scores any way.
  4. The Orioles have more speed and aggressive running game as well, the complete opposite of the Sox.
  5. Lots of singles but no clutch hitting and lack of power.
  6. Lack of hustle running out of the box cost us a possible triple and a run. Compounded by Eloy not moving Robert to third. Sox offense has been putrid and cannot afford any mistakes such as this running play, theCease hanging slider for 3 run homer, leadoff walks, have all hurt the Sox in this game. We are sucking big time.
  7. Two of the four runs were walks. Three runs came on a 3 run homer Earl Weaver style. 3 run homer are not part of the Sox repertoire and is hard for us to comeback in games.
  8. Have 7 LOB in 5 innings. No clutch hitting. Our hitters lately have been much worse with men on. Too impatient swinging at pitchers pitches and not working the count to look for a better pitch to hit.
  9. You are right. This stadium fits the Sox better than GRF where our opponents out homer us often.
  10. The ghost of Eric Weaver came back to jink us with the quintessential 3 run homer.
  11. Another impatient hitter with men on base. Swung at first two pitches out of the zone. Sox hitters today having a hard time hitting the breaking pitches.
  12. 2-2. He has been our hottest hitter. That is why I was so upset yesterday that TLR did not pinch hit Sheets for Big Energy with men at 2. Nd and 3 rd and 1 out late. Josh has failed miserably on those situations. That could have won us the game.
  13. He is also prone to be impatient with men on and swing outside of the zone, like most of Sox hitters.
  14. His slider is not on yet, the 3 run homer was a hanging high slider.
  15. It is an OK lineup. Wish we had better 2nd base options than Harrison.
  16. You would not be able to wear it in public.
  17. TLR would have been run out of town, and the tabloid press would have destroyed him on an everyday basis.
  18. Hits into too many double plays. Not enough balls up in the air. Very slow runner. PRetty bad OF defense.
  19. In hindsight we should have started Cease today. We need to treat these games as playoff games and win one at a time. We looked beyond KC to the Baltimore series, when KC has been kicking out butts in KC.
  20. After some reflection today’s loss is primarily on TLR for the following reasons: - Not pulling Kopech right out of the game - Not pinch hitting Sheets for Harrison with men on second and third late with less than 2 outs, when Harrison had failed on these situations over and over. - Not having ReyLo pitch the 7 th after facing just one batter in the 6 th, and brought Graveman early instead. We ended up with Graveman in the 7 th and Kelly/ Ruiz in the dreaded 8 th blowing the game open. It should have been ReyLoin the 7 th, Graveman in the 8 th and Hendriks in the 9 th if needed. I rest my case, we are not going to make the playoffs with TLR as manager. He needs to resign.
  21. Send the memo to TLR. Did not pinch it late for Josh with two men in scoring position and less than 2 outs and failed once again.
  22. You helped making it lousier in this game today. You have been lousy in most every game this season. The buck should stop in the field with you. You have been unable to adjust and keep doubling down on your mistakes. You should resign immediately.
