The 1 seed is a realistic goal and very important for a variety of reasons. I'm surprised more fans on here aren't paying attention to that
True, but that aint got shit to do with Cleveland

cool....and if you don't care if they lose, you also don't care if they lose ground in the standings also
My man, Cleveland is not nearly as good as we are. We couldn’t blow a 9.5 game lead if we tried. So nervous, my goodness

Im going to choose not to be upset. Can’t expect to win too much only scoring 2

Moncada was once a base stealing machine.
I missed that day in class.

Cleveland won today, so no gaining ground, but will need this to maintain.
On a sidenote, the Tigers got a last second field goal to edge out Minnesota 17-14.

8 game hitting streak for the stud Vaughn.
I don’t know what he’s hitting this month, but hopefully the trendline is semi reliable.

Ah the "We don't need a 2nd baseman we have Danny Mendick" people are out on Twitter. Fantastic.
We do need, but its not as serious as it’s been said

The problem is if the Sox have to give up something significant for Story, then it still would have been better to get Escobar.
The market looks like these guys are going rather cheap though. Stiever/Lambert/Adolfo type prospects might get it done?

Why would a Braves fan say this though...for WSox Twitter clout?
He's 18 years old, that’s why. 😎

To be fair, you can find similar tweets for about five other teams.
5 seconds later he is cursing because someone says Gallo to the Yankees lol

Possible the Sox never did like those other guys and really wanted Baez or Story. Now they leak to Bob to get leverage for one or the other.

Yes he was spot on when he said Escobar was traded to the Sox
I think he said the deal was on but the Sox player(s) had a physical issue so it fell through. In all honesty though, that would have been very early for the Dbacks to settle for a minor return. Unless the market for all these guys is much colder than sellers think it is.

Wow, the Sox minor leaguers must really suck.
Not really. Don’t assume the Sox are all that interested in giving up top prospects for a rental. Enough dominos are falling to question that seriously.

A 26 year old catcher in AAA and a 21 year old with a 336 OPS at A Ball. Neither in the top prospects of the brewers system.
The Sox aren’t thirsty, they like their team fwiw. At least, like it enough to do any deals on their terms. If I had to guess, they are concentrating on a reliever mostly

ReyLo would have to do a lot to be worth his $4-5M arb tag next season. He’s pretty much a 100% guaranteed non tender.
True. A lot of things smell weird about all this. First of all the source.

From the discussion yesterday it is now being reported that if the Padres want Gallo, takimg Hosmer is a good start. They will even include a top prospect.
That kind of activity could indicate Scherzer to the Dodgers is a real situation.

Not sure why the Cubs would want ReyLo but Tepera is kind of just a guy, so shouldn’t be too much. Just think they’d want someone who is cheaper and isn’t a pretty much slam dunk non tender.
Not sure what the demand for Tepera is. But 2 years of arbitration left on a lottery ticket with some experience could he worth considering for the Cubs if the offers are garbage.

This is such a weird flex. Literally every good team in baseball is making moves to get better, and all you see is them being scared or something.
It doesn't even make sense if you pay any attention to pro sports.
Hostile! People who care what others post always have something to do. If I may help, don’t portend evil all the time. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

That’s how badass the Sox are. So worried about the Indians they are bringing guys up from the minors to showcase.

Silver lining is hopefully that they don’t take Vaughn out of his spot as much for Eloy. Eloy will be wrapped in bubble wrap instead of playing left field
