  1. QUOTE (WinorDie88 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:59 PM) Just read the news about Dunn. Glad to hear it's nothing really serious. I hope Ozzie smarts up and plays Milledge over Teahen. Milledge killed us in the first inning when he froze on the liner.
  2. We win. Happy days are here again. Now it's a good roadtrip.
  3. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:45 PM) I must say I like Brent's approach there, short, quick and thinking opposite field...once he gets a bit more confidence he can start turning on the ball but for now thats fine by me The fact he went opposite field for that hit makes him my player of the game ... if we f***ing win. Excellent.
  4. Guys if we don't win now, seriously, should we give up on the season? I say yes. We can't blow a three run lead in the 12th can we??
  5. If we win this game, I'm gonna buy me a hooker tonight. Just kidding. Don't know where that came from. I'm happy!
  6. Sweet, i'm following this on yahoo. why did fathom call brent worthless? fill me in.
  7. OM god he got a bunt single???
  8. Carlos is my new idol. I agree. no bunt. fire oz if he does bunt. He can't bunt.
  9. Kansas plays Missouri after this game. Makin the college kids wait.
  10. WTF with our hitting approach in extra innings?? Why can't we score off these s***heads???
  11. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) I wasn't aware they brought Bob Hamelin back to shag foul balls down the left field line... I saw Bob Hamelin beat the Sox one time in the ninth. God I was so mad that night in the K. We led 3-0 the whole f***ing game and it all imploded in the ninth.
  12. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:17 PM) Good lord. I've been saying for a while now that 2013 is going to be a scary year for the the other 4 ALC teams. The Royals are going to be soo stacked. The fans out here deserve some winning. KC has sucked for so long it's hard to fathom.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) Jeffress is sick. I hate to say it, but the Royals are gonna be a powerhouse soon. Yes, powerhouse. They've got too much sick talent. They just need half of these guys to pan out. It says a lot they got that run in the ninth. I KNOW IT'S EARLY but that's pretty impressive to not just let the favored White Sox mow them down in the ninth and win the f***ing game.
  14. Can you imagine how happy we'd be if we had gotten them out in the ninth? One game can make a huge difference in this roadtrip. We'd be on Cloud Nine. A loss will put me in the dumps.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 09:08 PM) Because I have been coping with this loss for 3-4 innings now, so if we lose, I won't feel that different. A win would be awesome, but I feel like we should have already lost. I feel great about the comeback no matter what, but it's buzzkill to hit Soria like that and not win. GO SOX!
  16. You guys may laugh, but Sergio will be our closer the majority of the time when we go to closer by committee.
  17. Not bagging on the team. I loved the comeback today, but why is it so tough to close when you are named THE CLOSER? Matt was amazing at times last year when he was not the closer.
  18. Good comeback ... bad bullpen (so far in 2011)
  19. Good comeback ... bad bullpen (so far in 2011)
  20. Great comeback no matter what happens. Time for Matt to earn his new title ... closer.
  21. When's the last time we actually got a run off Soria? Moral victory?
  22. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) That IS a rule around here. Oz will be gone if we have a s***ty first half. disappointing road trip if we don't rally to win. Same ol s***. Can't win in our own divisional games.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:57 AM) You win tomorrow and you're 3-2 on the first road trip of the season against lesser competition, that's a perfectly fine trip to start the year. Calm down. That'd be OK as you say. But if we lose tomorrow. The first road trip is a fat grade of D, considering the competition.
  24. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:52 AM) When you are up 2 in the 8th- you need to shut down the opposition. This game shouldn't of even sniffed extras. This is a terrible loss overall and hopefully it doesn't carry over into tomorrow's ballgame. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:53 AM) He's the closer...you save him for a save opportunity. If you're carrying 11 pitchers and 3 of them you can't trust, your team is going to be in huge trouble. Yes, yes, yes. Up two in the eighth, gotta win. Sucks to be 2-2 vs. Cleveland and KC. Gotta do better than that. Still early, though.
  25. QUOTE (stretchstretch @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 03:46 AM) watching games into scoreless extra innings, feeling the inevitable road loss is like groundhog day, over and over again The Sox definitely were pathetic in extra innings tonight. If we lose tomorrow we're off to a somewhat depressing start considering the opposition. Yuk.
