The catch all thread is gone so I started this thread. Marotti has resigned. Moronotti should not be missed by many Sox fans. His rips of Oz and KW and Jerry had no shock value anymore and smelled of vendetta. His columns about Rex were in the same category. We all know Rex sucked. The word Cubdom was dumb. I thought his Olympics columns were supurb. But as a Sox fan I'm glad I don't have to read the same shtick from him regarding the Sox. Hopefully the other columnists will criticize Oz and KW when they deserve it, but not on the weird rant-like way of Mariotti.

there will be a lot of OC Lovers including me if he builds on tonight and we win it all and he's a reason!

Thanks Angels for cooling off Minnie and you M's for winning close games. Wouldn't it be nice if the Twins went to s***? It could happen, look at the Indians on the opposite end of the spectrum. They've won nine in row. Maybe Minnie will lose many in a row. I can hope.

In a perfect world, we pull away from them and for good measure win 2 of 3 in that huge series in the Twinkiedome. I'd hate to not win the division in a year Cleveland and Detroit tanked.

How the hell they are doing this year in and out is beyond me. Their payroll is low. They should be happy every single day. That said, I'm damn glad the Angels beat them the last 2 days. Finally. And it took some scrapping by Anaheim to win yesterday.

Yes, Dybber's baserunning blunder was critical. If we win that game, we beat Baltimore in game five with Hoyt. We quite possibly make the World Series. I'm not close to giving in to the hopelessness. I am getting close to not expecting a playoff berth and just being pleasantly surprised and really happy if we get one. Every Twin win tends to make me more of a believer in them. Deep down I've been thinking and hoping Minnesota would completely tank. We have a very good team, though, and have veterans and sometimes veterans prevail over inexperience. It's too bad we faded today. That would have been a very very nice win against a first-place team.
