  1. Juan needs a week in the minors or two. He's hopeless right now. Get him out of town a while.
  2. Detroit is so good right now it's scary.
  3. One more out then BA bunts for base hit. He ain't gonna homer.
  4. If we survive the leadoff walk we might win. The odds are not in our favor after the dreaded leadoff walk.
  5. Judy has balls, he's just a flake. If the Sox don't want a flake then they should trade him. I happen to think his performance last postseason earns him 5 more years in my mind. He was AWESOME.
  6. are the Sox playing worse ball than their record indicates or is the team just fine?
  7. Kenny will stay patient i bet til the all star break. You know he's not going to rest with cf not hitting and our bullpen suspect. Look for some of our prospects to get shipped. Better not be our good ones.
  8. I think Marte has stunk this year if it's any consolation.
  9. We wouldn't be so pissed of late if Detroit wasn't playing like the Babe Ruth-led Yankees.
  10. Remember a few years ago when Toronto was one of our nemesis teams? They always beat us like a drum.
  11. Detroit is playing like the Tribe did last Sept.
  12. What is it with Uribe and pop ups? He is a head case.
  13. Your vaunted pitching staff is being lit up like a Christmas tree when you play real teams rather than feast off non-contenders with the #30 ranked schedule in the majors. Screw you. Our vaunted pitching staff threw complete game after complete game in the postseason last year in a day and age pitchers are coddled to go 7 innings. GO SOX
  14. The Tigers were smart to hire Leyland it appears. I'd take Oz over Leyland, but something turned that team around.
  15. The fans certainly have been amazing. Jerry upped the payroll and still will make lotsa money thanks to our fans.
  16. Great website. Mariotti was exposed last year when the Trib blogger chronicled all his flip flops during the Sox's magical season. That's all you need to know about him. He's a good writer who has zero perspective. He just writes day to day, not remembering or caring what he wrote before. Every day is a new day, a new opinion, in his mind he cares not if he had a totally different opinion a month prior. Most respected columnists take a position and stick with it, though those columnists (Southtown, Trib) tend to write more dull columns than Mariotti because they don't flip flop and have no desire to risk their integrity by flip floppin. That Trib writer who chronicled ALL last year's flip flops is amazing. He exposed Mariotti as the flip flopper he is. He also is a great writer.
  17. Say what you want, the Tigers are good. Good for them to take care of the inept Royals 4 straight in KC when we go in there and can't win the series. I'll still take the Sox over Det., but I have a feeling Detroit is a playoff team. Chi and Detroit are both going to make the playoffs edging out Bos or NY.
  18. Oz has no choice. Maybe this will make Anderson wake up and get some hits. I don't think Mack is a great player and he's not a good defender compared to Anderson, but Oz has no choice. Hitting .160 is not acceptable. Ozzie said "tough right handers" and he'll sit Anderson. I think that's good. Who can blame him??? As far as it hurting Anderson's confidence, I doubt that. If it does, then too bad for Anderson. If he wants to make money in this game like you know he wants to, he's going to have to hit better than .160.
  19. Thank god we won that game. Now ESPN can say whatever they want and it won't bother us, cause we won. Glad to see Hurt homer. The rest of his at bats against us the rest of his career should be greeted with no response at all. I wonder if his ego can take that.
  20. Cotts may have stunk after the fact but he's out of the inning obviously if Juan doesn't blow that easy d.p. relay. It is alarming the meat Cotts threw up there after the error, but technically that inning is over, then it's Jenks time.
  21. It's hard to believe he threw that ball away. He had so much time. His at bats today certainly were a joke. It's time to play Cintron some more. Uribe needs a makeover at the plate.
  22. It is a wild coincidence like fathom noted that the Cubs "rally" started right after he brought up Moronotti. That was weird.
  23. Maybe it is over, kalapse, but I'd think AJ would find it tough to forget a supposed friend bashing him in the face with no warning.
  24. You'd think next time AJ comes to bat when Barrett is catching there will be trouble. I mean AJ got slugged in the face with no warning.
  25. If AJ gets suspended, baseball is a joke. Why would AJ get suspended for getting sucker punched?
