  1. I'm amazed we've kept close in the standings to Detroit as torrid as the Tigers have been. We need to ride out the Tigers' amazing streak. They could be 7 up on us if we hadn't been winning 2 of every 3 of late. Is Det gonna sweep the s*** Rays as they did that 4 game series with KC???
  2. what's the quick summary of this game? I have no tv, no updates yet. Are we losing?
  3. Detroit may come back down to earth but they appear to have a magical season going.
  4. Kameron is usually off, so we better hit him tonight.
  5. We need to win the division. So we root for Yanks. If we don't win the division, I fear we won't get the wildcard. And if we can't win the division, it's probably a dream to win it all again.
  6. mariotti's column was awful. here the Sox have the most colorful quotable announcer ever and that dip is upset. Give me a break. Oz is a breath of fresh air!!!!! And Mariotti knows that deep down. He's just having his little war with the sox.

I don't want to start a thread on this and get blasted, but is anybody else shocked that Frank Thomas is suddenly having a good year? He's at 16 hrs and counting I believe.
  8. I agree. Watching on TV, I loved our rally tonight in the ninth, but I couldn't help but be mad at all the runs Fred gave up earlier that cost us the game on massive home run shots. I'm still concerned because I don't think we just now developed a winning attitude. I like you think we've had it all year and the team still has some major on the field question marks.
  9. I figure if you commit to go to a game, you are there for the long haul. Too much can happen, like tonight. Of course two hour rain delays and all that ... it might be time to leave. That's stupid to sit 3 hours waiting when you know more rain is coming, etc.
  10. Cleveland really teed off on Freddie. I mean they were teeing off. If he really threw 92 that makes me feel better. It sure looked like he was throwing soft all night to me. Arm strength may be a problem. Is Fred hiding an injury like Cliff did?
  11. This thread is annoying. I'm out. Good luck to Sox and BA who needs about 19 hits in a row to raise his average to about .230.
  12. Compare some of these Tribe at bats against a struggling pitcher to those, of say, Anderson. They are just teeing off. Has BA had a swing like that all year?
  13. Freddie right now looks like about the worst pitcher in humanity. Those are some monster monster shots. Wow. If it's his arm, please shut him down and let McCarthy pitch.
  14. That shift sure sucks. That was a smash base hit.
  15. Why didn't he walk Pods? That at bat sure sucked.
  16. He probably realizes it, but that's all he's got in his arm.
  17. That last pitch looked like it had a little velocity. Does he ever throw 90?
  18. The sad thing is these last few at bats by the Tribe are what we should have put on Westbrook last inning. But Anderson puts up some pathetic swings against a guy throwing Freddie-like meatballs.
  19. Is McCarthy throwing hard this year? I have a feeling we'll be seeing him in the rotation soon.
  20. Freddie needs to go on DL. He's done.
  21. Poor Freddie. Put him on the DL.
  22. I hate balls that fall like that. Fred has to suck it up and retire the batter a second time.
  23. The bright spot is the way we've been pulling games out late as of late. This game has a similar story line.
  24. BA must have nightmares about that sick swing he has against the outside junk.
  25. It's pretty bad when a pitcher walks a Cintron (no offense to Cintron, I like him) to get to Anderson.
