  1. Thanks to whitesox.com for answering our question. Since their writer writes for the internet, he probably got the idea from fans wondering where the frick was the leg kick. A platoon idea wouldn't be bad right now. Oz gives guys a lot of days off anyway. p.s. why does Ichiro play every day? Kind of unheard of nowadays.
  2. I think you are right. I think he is the most underrated player in baseball. It would be nice to reacquire another underrated player, Rowand. How bout Garland and 2 s***ty prospects for Rowand. Or McCarthy and those same 2 s***ty prospects for Rowand?
  3. Great point by Fathom. The team has heart. The team just sucked after winning the opener, 11-0, for whatever reason, but heart is not the reason.
  4. I just want to know what happened after the 11-0 win? Did Cleveland sack up or did we somehow turn comatose? Welcome back to the pennant race, Tribe assholes.
  5. This is why I don't look at who you are playing just how you are playing. We've lost 3 of 4 to the Tribe letting them back in the race. Detroit beat the hell out of the Tribe and everybody said Detroit is playing nobody. Cleveland is now right back in it.
  6. Sticking him in lf right now would be a bad idea. Maybe we should trade either Fields or Crede in a blockbuster. Pick one and hope for Kenny magic.
  7. This is a big concern for the games against NL teams. I'd play Konerko at first and use Thome solely as a pinch hitter, only because we acquired Thome to DH and only DH. If we let Thome play first, he's probably going to get hurt. If we play Paulie at first we know we're going to go at least .500 in NL parks. Why put Thome in the field? It's a dumb idea.
  8. Uribe batting fifth is a good idea. Bat him fifth for our Class A team til the all star break to get his head out of his ass.
  9. Hilarious line. To Juan's credit, tho, maybe today is the day he has broken out of the slump. Did he do the leg kick on the homer?
  10. I don't see how anybody can argue with this statement. Anderson has played himself into this role until Mack proves he can't hit the way he's been hitting of late.
  11. Congrats! By the way, when he passes Yaz, u can count on a long story about how great Yaz was from Hawk. Congrats Jim Thome! And I'm glad Hawk will talk about Yaz. I love Hawk's stories. It's what makes him the best play by play man in the game.
  12. Is Howry any good? Would the Cubs do a guy a favor and lend us Howry for some minor league stiff?
  13. Nothing wrong with being a fifth starter on our team behind Mark B, Jose, Fred and Vaz.
  14. Make him serve his five game suspension now instead of appealing it. During the week off ship him to extended spring training or wherever Thome spent that week in spring training figuring out his swing woes.
  15. Bring back the leg kick or send him down for 2 weeks to work on his swing. His hitting is brutal.
  16. Props to everyone including Garland. Uh he got the win.
  17. He definitely got hosed over again. Hope the team goes out and gets hammered tonight and forgets this sorry effort.
  18. I don't buy that argument about the schedule. Winning baseball is winning baseball especially when you play teams in your own division so much. The alarming thing is seeing our lead dip in the wild card race. Boston and NY will be around all year as well.
  19. No time to panic, but I sense KW is gonna be up to some moves soon. Mediocre to bad bullpen and underachieving ss in Juan right now and punchless hitting in cf. Not good.
  20. Horrible game. You are gonna win 60 a year and lose 60 a year; it's what you do in the others that matter. This was one of the 60 losses. It wasn't our day. Poor Jose.
  21. It's easy to blame the manager when guys can't execute (bad bunt, guy getting thrown out at third, etc. It's the players fault in my mind)
  22. We won't survive the leadoff walk again. No way. Unless the Jays suck and they don't.
  23. Obviously we're in deep s*** now. Take the dog out. It might change the luck. We're in deep dog s***.
  24. Like the dog, the Sox have no bark today.
  25. Why do people hate Garland so much? Is it because he's a former Cub or a pretty boy or what? The guy is a flake. He is never going to be "intense" out there. What you see is what you get. If he works fast like he did a year ago when he was mimicking Buehrle he's fine.
