The announcers were awful. Pods and Paulie, however, amazing!!! Did you notice the fans wouldn't leave after the home run? True White Sox moment there! They stayed. anybody at the game please fill us in on how long the fans stayed, etc.! For Pods to bash a home run in that situation ... one of the great moments in Sox history ... maybe the greatest to date!
  2. It would have also been clutch to make a decent throw to Pierzynski to end the game in the 9th, or did you forget about that? Uh yes I forgot about it!!! He hit a f***ing game winning home run in the World Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Pods!
  3. the pregame throats were right. They said Bobby wouldn't have it two nights in a row. That sucks. We go up 2-0 the Series is guaranteed to come back to Chicago. Now we need MORE heroics. Hope we got it in us. GO SOX
  4. we shoulda won; awful throw; can we still win? please say it is so!
  5. it's bad luck when I post during games, so i'm out.
  6. Lets face it, this rain game is a matter of who survives the elements better. I thought it'd be Da Bears, I mean Da Sox, but it's not so far.
  7. These Stros are hitting cannons at Crede. We gots to step it up a notch the rest of the series and play our A game.
  8. The odds of AJ getting a hit against the lefty was not good. Perhaps he thought the first pitch would be meat. Either way we were hosed. Looks like we are in our longball or nothing phase again.
  9. We are not playing great baseball in the rain. Can we win the Series against these mfockers? These Stros are pesky.
  10. That game was awesome! Crede was incredible defensively and with the bomb. Gutsy effort by Jose and great relief work! Big hit by Dye. Clutch hit and run by Rowand. Great great baseball considering the long layoff we had. Congrats Sox and Ozzie, we love ya! Keep it up, please.
  11. who cares? this is a non story til like you said, we get the job done. I'm too excited about the series to care.
  12. so would i brotha, so would I.

great hour by WGN. I shoulda taped it. Classic stuff to save forever.
  14. My grandfather who grew up on south side and followed every pitch, every year and died a few years back. To my dad who still lives and loves the Sox. To all the grandfathers and relatives of you all who love or loved the Sox. Obviously most of all to each member of the current team, the coaches, GMs, who have put in all the work. Congrats on what you have done; good luck trying to win it all.
  15. he simply has to eat crow. Or maybe he'll ignore all the choke stuff he was writing in the past. It'll be fun reading him ALL WEEK having to give the Sox their props. Soak it up Sox fans cause with the game on Saturday, the Chicago papers are going to be all Sox, all the time this week. And it's all going to be positive stuff. GO SOX!
  16. If we win the World Series, we need to commemorate this with Chicago's own Mt. Rushmore. Build it downtown in one of the plazas. Jose, Freddie, Jon and Mark B. For Chicago relievers — make that one reliever, lefty Neal Cotts — threw a measly two-thirds of an inning in the series.
  17. Pauley for the first inning homers and his clutchness. But I agree Mark B's outing was unreal.
  18. It's like this was the old days, the Baltimore staff of the 60s or 70s or whenever the heck those four starters of theirs (Palmer, McNally, etc.) were dominant. I was amazing at how incredible Jose was tonight in the 8th and 9th. Nasty stuff. He probably coulda pitched 12 innings!
  19. Great posts by all of you! I've loved Oz all the way through, and forever more will eat my own words about Kenny. I thought he was a buffoon early on as GM. He wasn't. He isn't. Good job Oz and Kenny and good call chisoxfan when you told us all to shut up after Game One. You said this team wouldn't quit. The team was stale in Game One and hot as hell after that!! 4 complete games in a row? You've got to be kiddin me!
  20. my gosh, what a stellar outing! geez louise white sox and freddie, thanks for the great memories this season and the great play! way to jump on em paulie and pitch freddie! keep it rolling Sox. it ain't over til it's over but what a great effort the first two games in anaheim!!!! GO SOX! WE WANT THE SERIES!
  21. My gawd ... what a studly performance!! Epic performance!! Nine innings?? In his home state?? After that kind of layoff? Way to go, Jon. Never ever will anybody ever again mention Judy Garland in your presence unless you are with friends watching the Wizard of Oz. Helluva season; helluva game tonight! Keep it up Freddie!!!
  22. Laugh in their face. We won. No apologies. I just hope the Sox handle this the right way and kick ass in Cali.

I love Crede; I think he's close to getting that Damon thing going with the wild hair. He's clutch. Good glove, clutch hits, seems like a loosey goosey clubhouse guy. Way to go Joe may replace say it ain't so, Joe in Sox lore.
  24. I hope our Sox players laugh tonight and in coming day off at media that question us for winning in a controversial way. A.J. was smart enough to care enough to run to first. Ozuna still stole second and Crede bashed the hit in a series where we hadn't had many big hits, not many hits at all. That one angle suggested the ball hit the ground. So our Sox should tell the media to stifle, take a flying leap, and talk about Mark's effort and Crede's big hit and some of the calls that went against us. There's no crying or feeling sorry in baseball!!! Killer instinct in Cali, baby! That game is over. Let the country cry; we gotta have the eye of the tiger in Cali. s*** happens and we took advantage.
