Laugh in their face. We won. No apologies. I just hope the Sox handle this the right way and kick ass in Cali.
-
I love Crede; I think he's close to getting that Damon thing going with the wild hair. He's clutch. Good glove, clutch hits, seems like a loosey goosey clubhouse guy. Way to go Joe may replace say it ain't so, Joe in Sox lore.
-
I hope our Sox players laugh tonight and in coming day off at media that question us for winning in a controversial way. A.J. was smart enough to care enough to run to first. Ozuna still stole second and Crede bashed the hit in a series where we hadn't had many big hits, not many hits at all. That one angle suggested the ball hit the ground. So our Sox should tell the media to stifle, take a flying leap, and talk about Mark's effort and Crede's big hit and some of the calls that went against us. There's no crying or feeling sorry in baseball!!! Killer instinct in Cali, baby! That game is over. Let the country cry; we gotta have the eye of the tiger in Cali. s*** happens and we took advantage.
-
Sucko, it's 1-1.
-
We are hitting nubbers, not liners. Mark B better keep it up until our hitters get inspired. We're getting shut down. If this keeps up, it's reminiscent of our effort against the O's way back when in the playoffs. We got 2 runs last night; one tonight, precious few hits. GO SOX!

I didn't like the way Juan looked on that grounder. That error sucked. Wake up fellas or it's gonna be too late.

Cora has got to use his head. He didn't. That was asinine. Mark B better be dominant today until we get our heads out of our asses.
-
Thanks Joey you f***ing moron!! That was as dumb a call as I've ever seen! My gawd. STUPID!!!
-
that sucks there were so many rich fans who didn't cheer and had no stake in the team apparently. But like you said, with Anaheim's travel the past couple days we were expected to win unlike the bosox series. It's a big difference. You gotta have the killer instinct and we probably woulda had it against the hated yanks.
-
If we won on a walk off homer the series would have been ours. Case closed. Now it's a dogfite. Like fathom said if we lose 2 at home ... yikes. We may be in deep deep trouble. It will take a miracle to overcome 0-2 heading to Cali.
-
He can be very streaky. but who can we replace him with TIMO-Willie- Blum-Ozuna or Carl. Heck no. He plays and hopefully starts rapping some doubles and homers. We don't want to see any of those guys yu mentioned.
-
I tip my cap to him. What did we get? a handful of hits. But I agree with you all. We could have beaten da bum and should have. He ain't no Roger Clemens. I may be a glutton for punishment but I hope we get to face him again. If he beats us twice in a series, I'll be surprised.

Ozzie doesn't have to say much, actually. We were great against Boston. He has to just tell them the truth: "We had chances to win tonight, we appeared flat and didn't win. Guys have some fun and let's kick their ass today. We want to play in the World Series, right???" Dat's all he needs to say IMO.
-
I wish Paulie would have bashed a homer in the bottom of the eighth. Had that happened, the Cell woulda gone nutso, Bobby woulda come on in the 9th and we'd be the darlings of America again. We wouldn't be talking about botched bunts. Instead ... mark has to kick ass in Game Two. We need to win that game. You don't go to Anaheim down 0-2 and win this series IMO
-
He was phenomenal again. Good job; lets kick ass tomorrow. We need to show some balls cause the Angels will be loose again in Game Two since they have first service break.
-
5) Almost a disaster, Juan Uribe, who played great defensively, gets lazy at 2B (how he didn't get to 3B with 2 outs and a basehit to RF is puzzling), and is almost picked off by the throw in from Rivera. Excellent points. This one I think shows again how flat we were. I almost wish we were playing the "powerful" Yankees so we could maybe have kept our stinger for Game One. We didn't execute and your excellent points point to one thing - being flat! Would we have been flat for the powerful Yanks? Perhaps with so many days off. But maybe not against the evil empire.

Dye has run hot and cold all year. Amen brother. How true.

What kills me is that Jose pitched freaking brilliant and picked up the loss. Me too. I think it's a very critical loss cause it was the type of game we normally win and need to win. Game where our starting pitching was great. We had to squeeze out four runs to win this one. A couple big hits and we'd be forgetting the bunt snafus. But it is very disheartening to not win on a night Jose gave us that effort!
-
It's frustrating when guys can't lay down a bunt. I disagree with bunting there right after the error, but I know why Oz did it. It would help when he calls the bunt the player lays it down successfully. They "practice" it every day; guys like AROW and Pods who are not reincarnations of Babe Ruth, have to lay it down when asked. I still say we were flat; will it end up killing us? Who knows? I agree going to Anaheim 0-2 is a recipe for a quick exit. GO SOX!
-
I have never seen a bigger disadvantage in the dugout with Scioscia absolutly raping Ozzie. --Oh and by the way, you wouldn't be saying this if somehow Paulie had connected in the eighth for a home run. You'd be deliriously happy like the rest of us! He didn't. We lost. s*** happens. We were flat. Sucks.
-
I was afraid we would come out flat. Here in Ks. everybody all day was saying how unfair it was for the Angels to have to travel all this much. That took the pressure off them. Nobody expected them to win. Hope we can get the fire back cause we aren't the lovable underdogs this series. That feeble bunt try by Aaron was not good right after the error at 3B. It wasn't our night for crispness, tho what a great effort by Contreras!
-
We got to find a way to beat a guy like Byrd. He ain't Don Drysdale but he could beat us.
-
actually my bet is Litke will write you back; i've met the guy and he is OK, though I agree that article was horses***. So what if there's no white sox nation. There are plenty of cool stories on the south side, diehard fans living in Mt. Greenwood, Beverly in the old mansions, etc., who live and die with their Sox. Screw you mr. Litke. Enjoy the same ol stories; the country is getting Sox vs. Angels; nice little series between the also rans (Dodgers dominate media and fandom there; Cubs here).

Can we hit their pitching? How would yu rate our starters vs. theirs??
