November 2, 200520 yr This offseason? There's really just no one available who makes me stand up and say "Yes, him!".
November 2, 200520 yr Author Ok...well what one player would you think would help improve our team. I know we won the World Series and all, but there is always room for improvement. I would like us to add a corner outfield-3rd base type player.

A guy who's cheap because he's more likely to get hurt than Thomas, and who'd end up taking a spot from Uribe/Crede, and who's a serious defensive downgrade from either of them?
November 2, 200520 yr Author He could play a variety of positions and he is prolly at the point in his career were he wants to win rather than make a lot of money....plus i dont see him getting very much money from anyone.
November 2, 200520 yr Umm Jeff Blum hes a FA. I want him back ask the ultimate utility man. Other than that maybe Scott Hatteberg or Erubiel Durazo to fill in at DH, but i want paulie as my 1B. From Trades I would love one of these types,; Huff, Overbay, Hillenbrand, Tracy. They are all young with a hell of a lot of positive.

November 3, 200520 yr Yes I'd take Eyre, or Durazo if Thomas ain't coming back, and we can't fill our DH need via trade.

November 3, 200520 yr Brian Giles would be the closest thing I could think of, but I really think our big move will involve a big trade. We can take on salary this year, and that really gives us some options to take on a big contract.
November 3, 200520 yr Guys and gals, we will TRADE if we do anything. In fact, I'd say we would trade for sure. The core will probably be the same, however, I'd imagine that a couple of "favorites" will most likely move to get that OBP guy we all wanted on July 31.
