  1. QUOTE (High Mileage @ May 14, 2012 -> 06:49 AM) What. Let's face it. The Sox have a crummy team ... again.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ May 14, 2012 -> 05:08 AM) you have a very odd preoccupation with our home record. let it sort itself out Check baseball standings each and every year. Teams that finish below .500 at home turn out to be abysmal teams.
  3. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ May 10, 2012 -> 10:51 PM) I was born in miami and now i live in chicago. The sox are my second favorite team. I like this forum because of greg and i also love watching balta and ss2k fight each other. Ozzie has the Marlins rolling. Congrats to you.
  4. QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ May 13, 2012 -> 11:56 PM) Sox will catch the Twins this year - no question about it. The Sox home record would indicate the team is going to finish in the bottom five of all teams. How bad they freefall is anybody's guess, but you can't have this kind of home record and even be close to .500.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) You're not out, that'd make you 19x in, because you'd get to gloat, and that's what you're waiting for. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:37 PM) Sure is...I don't know what their problem is at home...it's disgusting QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 13, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Just got back from the game. The white sox offense will keep them from winning anything. 1. I meant out for today. Luckily I left that horrible baseball game to do something else. Why do I want to gloat? I want the team to win. I bought the f***ing MLB package again this year with the hopes the Sox would win. Little did I know Dunn would improve, Rios would actually do some positive things and Peavy would excel and the team STILL would stink. 2.) The problem is the Sox have a very bad baseball team when the team is not hitting home runs. Very very bad. 3.) Very true. Should be interesting to see if the team is out of it by the end of May. What was the mood at the stadium, Chappas? When they booed Thornton were they booing him or the team in general?
  6. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:50 PM) Here we go again with the sci-fi conspiracy posts. Respect others and their comments and opinions. Pods and others who have worn Sox uniforms deserve some respect from the fans. That is respectful baseball IMO Amen brotha. ElRockin remains the best Sox fan I've ever come across. Amazingly loyal even after losing 2 of 3 to the s*** (albeit better than the Sox) Royals.
  7. I'm out after that play by Escobar. If Sox don't rally to win this game, they've proven again they can't get up for the s*** of the Central Division. Losing 2 of 3 would be bad.
  8. QUOTE (almagest @ May 13, 2012 -> 09:12 PM) This is what happens when you score 1 run against a mop-up pitcher. True. It was just a matter of time.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:56 PM) How do you know him this personally? Where did you meet him at and how did you get to talking about his hitting philosophy so well? He has three walks in 110 or so at bats and game after game is just flailing away. He needs to be sent down for a month or so and try again.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:54 PM) Viciedo seems to have no real clue as to which pitches he can actually hit hard...that's probably the thing that most makes me think he will never pan out. Exactly. He has no interest in learning how to hit. He just flails at everything and big league pitchers will own him.
  11. I'm sick of Tank. He needs to take a vacation in AAA.
  12. Sox are not going to win 1-0 today so they better scratch a few more runs.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) If we say Escobar sucks enough, he will produce. Maybe I should try that on Viciedo.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:11 PM) And you love the attention QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:12 PM) And Escobar's produced just about as much as Wise, you just don't like him because it's only great to overplay a backup player if it's Ozzie Guillen. 1.) Yeah I can't wait until somebody brings up Juan, Wise, Dye or Pods or Oz. 2.) Is Mr. Wise's picture still on the outfield wall or did the Sox have to take it down since they ridiculously let Buehrle walk? I hope Escobar contributes something to have his face planted on teh wall someday.
  15. You guys who think I'm a troll sure bait me a lot. Guess who brought up Wise today ... not me.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 07:08 PM) So, if we gave Escobar a starting position right now, you'd like him? No, cause Escobar has done nothing; Wise produced and still is in baseball, on the NY Yankees. Just as Juan Pierre is still in baseball.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 13, 2012 -> 06:55 PM) You love Dewayne Wise, Escobar should be your bestie on this team Of course I liked/loved Wise. He contributed and the fans inexplicably booed him. Escobar has done nothing yet and is insignificant not booed.
  18. Why is Viciedo this bad? I'm thinking a major league hitter has to be able to take some bad pitches and he won't do it and that is that. He's got to be "easy" to get out for a MLB pitcher.
  19. I don't think I mock Rios. I blast him when I think he's loafing and he's definitely one of my least favorite players of all time. He's won the Sox a couple games this season IMO. The Pods stuff seems more mockery to me to a guy with a strong White Sox track record.
  20. I wish pitchers would all get together and decide to blast the umpires in baseball one night. Call out the umps in the press. Sale got squeezed in the first and it certainly didn't help him or the White Sox tonight. Umpires suck.
  21. This is one of the worst efforts of the season. What a miserable way for the fans there to spend a Saturday evening, cept for the corned beef sandwiches at the park and the beer.
