  1. Let's see if Sale can pitch effectively with a nice lead. Sox might as well abuse Seattle's bullpen now and start this series off nicely.
  2. Dunn with the bomb. And he was all over it. If he's not as fat and he doesn't appear as fat, could hit have a decent year??
  3. Nice hit by Morel. Looks like he tried to poke it to rf. Nothin wrong with that, Brent. Do that often please.
  4. I can't complain about DeAza. He's a pretty good player iMO. Nice bunt.
  5. Ugh. Does Dayan ever walk? Has he improved on that at all?
  6. Sale deserves a medal for shrugging off the error by Lexi.
  7. I think we always have a team of mental midgets. 2-0 lead means nothing. Give it right back.
  8. What is Lexi's problem? This game will be tied after one at this rate.
  9. Where did AJ get this power stroke this year? Remember last year when he had no pop in his bat most of the year? The ball is rocketing off his bat.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) Yes, but that was one that hit his glove and fell out because of his pretty boy nonchalant posing. It had nothing to do with positioning. So DeAza leads Rios 2-1 in dropped fly balls. Big deal on a team going nowhere. Leave Rios in right field where he can live out the rest of his horrendous contract.

QUOTE (Tex @ Apr 5, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Well she decided to just sign the papers. They are throwing her a "retirement party" which she will attend and because of the agreement she signed, she can't say she was terminated. For a s***ty three weeks severance. Geezus this thread depresses me. America ... what a country. Businesses can kiss my ass. The only good thing about this thread was all the helpful people in here. Makes me feel good about the attorneys/students on Soxtalk.
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 06:48 AM) Well, one of the reasons that Baltimore is in first place is due to the fact they just took 3/4 from us, but they were playing over .500 ball before this series started. Of course, so were we, at 5-2. Mostly, Greg is frustrated because we always seem to do poorly against Toronto, Baltimore and the other AL Central teams, at least since 2009. On the other hand, we've made a lot of progress in terms of our results in Seattle and Oakland compared to 8-10 years ago. Of course, both of those franchises were much stronger then. So we can look at it positively (3-3 against the Rangers and Tigers, away and home series, taking 2 from CLE on the road) or that we underperformed in this series when we expected to go 3-1 or no worse than 2-2. It all evens out, though, over the course of a season...it's so much about momentum and when you play a team, injuries, etc. Things would be fine if we'd won at least one of those 3 winnable games, but we didn't. So you move on...however, it would have been a big boost to take that last game of the series in comeback fashion after coughing away Game 2 and get on the plane for that long flight together. At least we don't see Felix or Pineda this time. Yes, is it too much to ask that a team with as many veterans as the White Sox and as good a pitching as the White Sox can't split with Baltimore at home? Sox effort this series? F. 3 out of 4 is a butt kicking.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 04:43 AM) Goddamn our team for losing to 2 of the best teams in the league when we are expected to suck. We demand sweeping every damn game series! Wait, it confused you? Goddamn our team For losing to two of the best teams in the league When we are expected to suck. We demand sweeping every damn series! Baltimore is NOT one of the best f***ing teams in the league. Baltimore is average. Who expects the Sox to suck? I expected .500 ball and if the players actually performed above average for once in 3 seasons we could contend.
  14. It's pretty crazy the Hawks have scored empty net goals in 3 games to tie it only to lose two of them in OT. Whatever happened to momentum? If the Hawks win this series now, Phoenix should fold its team. There's no reason in hell the Hawks should win this series now. Totally snakebit.
  15. Just leave Rios in right and pretend he makes 1/3 of the money he makes.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 20, 2012 -> 01:28 AM) Damn us for losing to the AL East leading Orioles. Calm down everyone. Wait till May to meltdown. Posts like this confuse me. The White Sox have sucked for two-plus seasons now. Many of us would rather NOT give the team the benefit of the doubt and wait for them to show us things may have changed. Losing 3 of 4 at home to Baltimore is ridiculous. Our hitting sucks. Yes many of us are not completely jumping off the ledge cause play vs. the Central Div. has been good. Everything else has sucked.
  17. End of the feel good start to the season. Losing 3 of 4 at home to Baltimore is a joke. Sox only hope is to rake in the division this year which is possible when you play so many games against the s*** Royals, Indians and Twins. Ridiculous series for the mediocre Chicago White Sox. Can't even split with Baltimore at home. I don't appreciate the way the White Sox play the game. Whiff.
  18. QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 03:54 AM) Dunn looked good. Gordon had a couple of hits. JAKE PEAVY! Hey...3 out of 4 question marks coming through ain't too bad. With every Peavy good start I'm starting to believe more and more. Let's split this thing tomorrow and go 4-3 on the homestand. All in all...that wouldn't be so bad. 4-3 wouldn't be a disaster but 3-4 record and losing 3 of 4 to Baltimore would suck.
  19. It can't hurt that Beckham has 2 hits. Finally.
  20. Do you guys think Cooper runs the pitching staff completely? Is it his call who to bring in, etc? I would think so. Do most pitching coaches make all the calls as to who to bring in?
  21. I'm a little surprised Peavy was available to just pick up in 2 of my 3 fantasy leagues. With all the lousy pitchers in baseball, don't people realize he's a pretty good pitcher? You can always drop him when/if he gets hurt again.
  22. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 02:09 AM) Peavy's awesome. I think most people have always liked Peavy's attitude. He does try and does appear to always care.
  23. Dunn looked like a real hitter on that double. He went down and stroked it to left off a lefty. I want to know ... how did he do that? Show him the tape of that at bat over and over. Also show Beckham tape of his last at bat.
  24. No need for Peavy to come out for the 7th now. Rest him.
