  1. The question is: What will Hawk nickname him and I could see him use Humburglar. Yuk.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 07:14 PM) IMO, the Hawks are extremely lucky to be down 3-2 with how they have played through 5 games. Phoenix is THOROUGHLY outplaying us. Their forecheck is much more aggressive, they are far more physical, they win all the loose pucks, they win all the board battles, and for the most part, they end up with the advantage on any one-on-one plays. They're players are so skilled at the fundamentals, especially defensively. They stick-lift and poke-check every second of every game. I wish the Hawks played as fundamentally sound and as good as the Coyotes did. Agreed. The team is still alive and I'm hoping the Hawks wake up and look like a Cup contender. As of right now, IMO the Hawks aren't clicking. Maybe it's the boring opponent that doesnt seem interested in scoring goals.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 10:04 AM) Maybe it's the idea of team/teammates, not throwing people under the bus, no drama...without all the outside distractions, there's more of an ability to focus on the game and less time for theatrics and off-field drama. We're only making headlines this year for baseball-related reasons, and that's nice to see. Cmon, when we were winning none of that mattered. When the Sox hit the ball and its starters can go 7 innings I like the team's chances against any team in the Central. GO SOX.
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 08:10 AM) You're like my brother: You're a Sox fan but you REALLY f***ing love Ozzie to the point of coming off as more of an Ozzie-fan than a Sox fan. That being said, you're a Sox fan. Thanks and I did comment on Humber in the game thread. I was happy.
  5. "One Former Royal I'm Glad is a Sox"
  6. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 03:36 AM) More evidence that you are not a real Sox fan. We pitch a perfect game and you come in here to praise Ozzie and Greg Walker instead of chiming in on today's game and joining the post game thread. LOL are you crazy? Chet Lemon, Frank Thomas, Luis Aparicio, Jim Landis, Mike Hershberger, Bill Melton, Eric Soderholm, Julio Cruz, Richie Zisk, Carlton Fisk, Harold Baines, Rock Raines, Jim Essian, Tommy John, Wilbur Wood, Eddie Stanky, Oz Guillen, Gary Peters, JC Martin, One Dog, Carlos Quentin, Carlos Lee, Mark Buehrle, Carlos May, Dick Allen, how many players do you want me to list. Yeah, I'm not a Sox fan. I looked those names up on Google to troll everybody. SOX FOREVER.
  7. Humber mania. Amazing effort. 2-0 on this roadtrip. Nice. Paulie continues to amaze. DeAza looking great. Viciedo may need some time off. Can't hit and since he won't walk he's pretty useless.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 19, 2012 -> 03:25 PM) And a team that quit on the manager. Great, great post. Glad to see Ozzie and Walker both doing well.
  9. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 06:31 AM) . Dunn credited Jeff Manto with a drill that involved swinging with a medicine ball between his legs to prevent him from lunging Manto is the man. Dunn did look different on all his hits.
  10. Way to hit the ball, Dunn. Good job, Sale. And the bullpen did well enough. Nice. 7-6 I believe is the Sox record.
  11. Time to turn this baby off. I'll read the rest of the gamethread later. Yikes 6-3.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2012 -> 04:17 AM) Not quite sure why Sale is starting this inning. At around 100 pitches coming into the inning, and they weren't exact easy innings. 110 pitches the max?
  13. If we blow this game I will personally not have a letdown tonight. That last homestand lowered my expectations dramatically.
  14. Sox bats streaky as a whole. Six runs first two innings then nothin.
  15. Uh oh, not a good idea to stop scoring tonight. Six runs may be enough; may not be.
  16. Sale is like watching Buehrle with a much better fastball. Good job so far.
  17. Sergio shaky in 9th but KC falls one run short, 4-3 for 8th loss in a row. KC 0-7 at home.
  18. I'll be comfy tonight if we can score 9 runs. I sense a 9-4 type victory or 9-6.
  19. Viciedo's off to a lousy start this April.
  20. The Sox do this once in a while. Have a clue at the plate. Nice hit, Rios. When they hit like this, you wonder why they can't do it all summer long.
  21. Royals down 4-2 in the eighth here on my big TV. Natives getting restless in KC. Boy KC sucks.
  22. Let's see if Sale can pitch effectively with a nice lead. Sox might as well abuse Seattle's bullpen now and start this series off nicely.
  23. Dunn with the bomb. And he was all over it. If he's not as fat and he doesn't appear as fat, could hit have a decent year??
  24. Nice hit by Morel. Looks like he tried to poke it to rf. Nothin wrong with that, Brent. Do that often please.
  25. I can't complain about DeAza. He's a pretty good player iMO. Nice bunt.
