  1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:31 AM) I guess we were due for a stinker, here it is, now let's take the remainder of the series. It's more of a shocker than a stinker. You can't blow 2-run leads at home with three outs to go and expect to be better than .500. I guess we could look at it as we lost with our No. 5 starter going. Key is to bounce back with starters 1 thru four and not let this game turn into 2, 3.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:27 AM) Please let it result in Stewart being demoted to get a fresh arm up here. He's throwing 89 mph as a reliever! That's ridiculous, and it's really pathetic the Sox put him on the roster to start the season. He has to be demoted as you say. No need to trot him out there again as a reliever. Maybe he'll be the long long guy like Pena that one year. When it's 9-1 in the third or something.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:26 AM) Might as well let the entire game fall apart. Send Beckham and Stewart down to the minors. Yeah I never thought I'd agree, but Beckham is not a major league hitter.
  4. So now we are 2-2 at home barring some heroics. Got to wake up and at least split this series now. This could get ugly before the final out.
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 04:21 AM) ....uh yeah, we all would. But when your start is at 115 pitches at 5 1/3 innings, or whatever he was, it's hard to blame the manager. Please no, don't misunderstand. I'm not blaming Robin. He had to be yanked. It was more an observation. I didn't want to rip Humber by name cause it was a gutsy effort but I want 7 innings.
  6. Nothing worse than pissing away a ninth-inning 2 run lead. My god.
  7. Now DeAza is resembling Rios. Rios has to take over cf (I can't believe I'm saying that)
  8. This might sound dumb, but I want seven innings out of my starter, not six. 3 innings of bullpen work is too many innings for the White Sox, judging from our bullpen the past couple years. I realize it's been good this year. Too many relievers spells trouble when you are talking about our White Sox. And yes, major league umps suck balls. What is their problem calling pitches strikes???
  9. How's the wind tonight? Hopefully one Sox can lift and pull one out. You know it's home run or bust.
  10. I'm starting to like Coop more. I love the fact he stood up for player and got tossed.
  11. The way Thornton is dealing he may be next closer. We need heroics. Got to win the opener against the mediocre O's.
  12. That's why it's so great to have the 2-run lead instead of one. We gonna win I hope.
  13. This should be an interesting appearance by our new closer. Will he be awesome again? Or is it time he comes down to earth? I'm intrigued.
  14. It's time to trade Beckham instead of send him down. He's not going to be sent down at this point of his career. However, his future may be resembling that of Brian Anderson if he doesn't get his s*** together. Another team or two and bye bye.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 03:13 AM) I don't really get the point of booing Adam Dunn so early in the season. Yes, he hasn't been killing the ball, but his approach has been better. I'd put his chances of coming out of this a lot better if he weren't getting booed at the f***ing 4th home game of the year when he entered the game with a .757 OPS. This crowd tonight is a bunch of clowns. Nice post. Dunn sucks, but it is stupid to boo him. It's not like he's trying to whiff. Thornton is dealing so far ... wow.
  16. This should be an interesting 3 innings. See if Sox bullpen can keep up the good work.
  17. QUOTE (daggins @ Apr 17, 2012 -> 03:09 AM) Its kind of depressing how time after time this team has no one to rely on but Konerko. Not to be a debbie downer or anything. go sox My sentiments exactly.
  18. I am glad the Sox are pitching well this year and I love Paulie, but it's hilarious how bad Dunn and Rios continue to be. Hail Paulie!
  19. My god how good Paulie is. I can't believe it hasn't rubbed off on Dunn in one season and one week. Way to go Paulie!
  20. Dunn another example, the millionth example of how spring training means nothing.
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 05:56 AM) I dunno, momentum? Sounds dumb, but some guys are just slow. Paulie should be proud he's overcome that to make it in the big leagues and be a zillionaire. Tons of baseball players who can HIT never get a sniff because they can't run and scouts get out the gun and laugh ... and don't draft them.
  22. QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 03:30 AM) Give Rios his unconditional release and eat the contract haha. Platoon Fukudome and Lillibridge. No doubt they'd be able to match his production combined. It would be a cause for celebration if Sox just released him. Somehow the Giants took Jose Guillen off the Royals hands that one year.
