  1. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) What? Are you serious? Why do we owe it to Walker to pitch him in a close game? I didn't know this was Little League where everyone should deserve to play. Are you Ozzie Guillen's publicist? This is going to be a thread of the year nominee, I can feel it already.
  2. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 11:01 PM) killing him for using Walker and Perez. And they just announced that Walker is on his way to Charlotte -- officially. I think they gave him bus fare. Hopefully they get a flat tire on the way there.
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) WHo should have gone? I hated Walker going too but. Marte, Cotts, Politte have all been worked. Hermanson can't go in the 7th. Viz sucks. I bet Widger woulda volunteered.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:55 PM) Sick of ''babying'' pitchers period. A starter hits 100 pitches... oh nos his arm is gonna fall off. A relief pitcher hits 30 pitches... oh nos his arm is gonna fall off. Pitch counts are a bunch of bs to me. You sound like Dusty Baker.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) About what exactly? Where to start, where to start....
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Have y'all ever thought that Ozzie is trying to get these guys some playing time in critical situations to see what they do? Have you ever thought that Kevin Walker's only appearances at US Cellular should be as a spectator, not a player.
  7. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) HE GAWN!!!!! That felt kind of good. It's good therapy, everyone join in.
  8. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:51 PM) it was a poorly managed game. timo shouldn't have been at first. Walker shouldn't be on the team. I don't disagree with any of that. But I think it was OK to give a couple of the bullpen guys back to back days off. It's a long season. You can't pitch guys four or five times a week. just have to hope we play better against Cleveland. The bright side of this is we could have easily been swept and we won two out of three. Good points, but he doesn't use Hermanson or Cliff enough as it is.
  9. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:46 PM) HE GAWN!!! Yea that. Let's try it in a different color. HE GAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Again, no need for a new thread. (moving)
  11. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) things could be worse folks. The Yankees have lost two straight to Kansas City. Carrasco beats Randy Johnson. Perspective, everybody The problem is these problems could have been avoided. Play Kong, we have an off day tomorrow. No reason for Timo F'n Perez. He is worthless. Put in a suitable pitcher in the 7th (Cotts, Politte or Marte) not Kevin "Triple A Fodder" Walker and then Vizcaino. These guys are both mop up men. Flat out horrible managing by a guy who I am losing confidence in as the days go by. Some of this stuff is just plain out painful to watch.
  12. There is already a thread about this, read before posting next time. (Moves thread.)
  13. Holy s***, Addy pulled out the Blue Ribbon.
  14. I think Murcie said it best earlier to me about the Walker move... "That was a Terry Bevington move."
  15. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) i still can't get over this kevin walker decision......there's no possible reason for it. There's no way to get over it, it was completely stupid.
  16. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) i usually stick up for oz, but today this is absolutely ridiculous. no sane man would ever put kevin walker, a rarely used useless relief pitcher into a 1 run game in the 7th......ever. No one can defend this type of stupidity.
  17. Did I mention that Ozzie is an incompetent jackass when it comes to using the pen? :fyou Blizzard of Oz
  18. One run lead in the 7th and he brings in Kevin Walker??????????? Seriously, what are we trying to do here? Hand them the damn game? Every bonehead move is worse than the previous one. THis is just flat out horrible.
  19. The guy from Baseball Prospectus today was talking about Castilla on ESPN news and basically said that he is hitting .245 the past month with one homer and that is just about the kind of Castilla to expect rather than the one you saw in April. Please, enough with the Vinny Castilla bulls***, no one wants him!
  20. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) For those of you that were asking why timo couldnt use pauly's glove, its because he's left handed and pauly is right. Some people fail to use common sense, just remember that....
  21. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 06:20 PM) Anyone know everything he said on the White Sox? Basically said a lot of good things, mainly that Ozzie knows what he is doing because he knows what its like to be an everyday player and is not far removed from that role. Thinks the Sox are legit, but may need to add another bat at some point. Complimentary of the way JR treats people throughout the organization and the way he communicates with people like the scouting directors, etc. Says they could be like the Angels in 2002 or Marlins in 2003 and also that Pods and Hermanson have helped out big time. Justice is always well-spoken when it comes to baseball, so this means a lot coming from him.
  22. Score some runs off Byrd and hold em down and it won't matter.
  23. QUOTE(Seesox @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) At least he plays hard.. If he went out there and didnt play hard then I would be pissed with him but the man gives 110% at all times out there.. Guess I shoulda put that in green.
